Happy with Goodie get a goal, looks a lot sharper in the games I've seen so I'm hopeful of him having a great season

He seemed to grow in confidence after his goal but not a great performance. Comfortable second half. Shankland had a tough time before being subbed. Scott Wright was impressive and clangers nowhere to be seen

Dont think Shankland can do the step up, never done anything against Raith today.....Team totally changed after the 4 subs came on after 1/2 time...Played alot better..

Goodwillie good to get a goal but it was a shite one lol, little toe poke but in the net that counts.Other than that thought he was poor again....Taylors header was good....Nice corner.

well done to our fans who looked like we out numbered the home ones...

Storie was right back and I thought he was the best of the young fringe players today, although the game changed when they all went off. Anyway, Storie defended the back post well and was solid with his distribution going for early simple passes and rarely giving the ball away. He also looked to support Wright as much as possible although was rarely used.

First half was pretty even - decent chances for both teams, but Aberdeen certainly went up a gear once the multiple subs came on.

You could see Aberdeen were well ahead of us in terms of sharpness and having played competitive games already this season.

Highlights should be up on RaithRovers.net either later tonight or at some point tomorrow.

All the best for Thursday.

Thought Wright was by far the best of the kids but none of them looked capable of the step up.

It's been a long time since the youth team produced someone like Jess, a youngster ready to play big matches. Not sure how old the last sub was but he was somewhat lacking in technical ability I thought but at least he's had some experience now.

Cammy Smith has never been the same since his namesake died.

Seriously.

The aplause in the 28th minute or whenever the fuck it was last season has bothered his game.

His wife has moved on now, which is fair enough, but Christ, that's a brave loon taking her on like.
