Clydeside_Sheep
What are the views of Jeremy Corbyn winning the labour election then? Do you think incompetent 1970s politics, long since discredited, are what is required in 2015? Will this revitalise labour or make them unelectable? Will there be any other effects? (Maybe voters who left labour returning?) Does any of this really matter much to us, given we have the diddy brigade in edinburgh to make a balls of our affairs for us? I dont really care whatever idiotic gonk labour elect to sit on their front bench; what did annoy me was the bleating in the media that no women won the election for leader or deputy leader. Women seem to think they are entitled to be involved purely because they are women and dont need to work for it, or win support from others. I suppose this shows how stupid women are. Then, when more women than men got into the shadow cabinet, they immediately switched to crowing that there was more women than men overall. I suppose this shows how hypocritical women are. The Hulk
The mainstream media reporting of this is appalling, especially Kuenssberg on the BBC. The cold hard reality of this is that his policies are not radically different to those that resonated with SNP voters at the general election and the media are conveniently forgetting the fact (ie making the same mistakes as they did during the indyref campaign) that a substantial and representative electorate voted for his policies over those of his rivals and as such he has a real chance, if the media and security services let him, of winning the next election. If you haven't read it already, or have never seen the C4 TV series from the 80s, get "A Very British Coup" by Chris Mullin. GIven it was written over 30 years ago there are uncanny parallels with this. Link to comment
The Boofon
It's a bad result for the SNP. Link to comment

I suspect it makes very little difference whether he or myself won it. Or Gorby or Maggie or Ronnie for that matter. Link to comment

BWG
The guy will not resonate with ever increasing far right voting tendencies of England and as we saw from the last election, it's England that decides the UK government. As far as it being a blow to the SNP - Kez will do 10x more damage than anything positive he may bring to the table. He's also staunchly opposed to any further devolution of power for Scotland, something that the Scottish electorate have made abundantly clear that they are in favor of, so I doubt he'll be nicking any seats from the SNP any time soon. Labour are dead. If people dan saff have any sense they'll realize that the greens are their only viable alternative to austerity pushing, champagne drinking, fraudulent cunts that make up the major Westminster parties. tightbreeks
I think there are a lot of engs who voted conservative because they think they are richer than they really are. A lot of it will be on tick and there's another bank crash in the post, which will screw said people up. Archer field estate near Gullane, next to muirfield, is a ghost town. Quite spooky. All these palaces bought buy punters who were far too exposed. These are the sort that don't get it. Corbyn needs to reign it in a wee bit but the Westminster lot still don't get the inter web and beyond London, t'is a mystery. Link to comment

Canada_Don
I like Jeremy Corbyn. He is a breath of fresh air. He is unelectable, he is not going to get anywhere, but it is amusing to see a cat get in amongst the pigeons... I agree the mainstream media reporting of him is fucking abysmal. Goes to show you how fucked up and biased our country really is. Link to comment

Just speculating. Link to comment
caledonia
Same as with the snp the papers and msn tried the scaremongering but people are beginning to wake up to the biased BBCIf I stayed in England I would have voted for him instead of the stage managed non personality's The press are at it already denying his popularity its like the SNP all over again Wont make no difference to the snp as labour are dead in Scotland but it will be interesting if dugdale changes her mind re trident etc now he has won the labour leadership 2 Link to comment

Poodler
Sky news leading with the headline 'Corbyn slated for not singing national anthem'. Cunt never sang the queen song at an awards doo and it's the most important news this morning. If the right are still trying to smear him they may recogise him as a threat? He has some radical views, it's a change, I'm happy with that Link to comment
adl333
He is the leader of "Her Majesty's Opposition". Sometimes in your job you have to do the right thing, no matter how you feel. What would he do as Prime Minister when the Israeli's pay a visit?? Link to comment
360
He is the leader of "Her Majesty's Opposition". It's a ceremonial title, one that means absolutely nothing. Good on him. That's the SNP (protest votes) finished as a serious force, too. Link to comment
