rumpus
Anyone had this done? Seemingly next step as the swimming's not making much difference to elbow. Sounds painful... Link to comment
looksgoodinred
yes. it's a bit painful but worth it. maybe it depends on what's causing the pain to begin with, but the relief only lasts about four months for me. and then you go back for more.i know a couple people at my office have had it done for different reasons too. i think one mentioned that over time it can contribute to osteoporosis, but i don't know if that's true or not.not an issue for me -- i have ax handles for bones. good luck whatever you choose to do, and hope you feel better soon! x Link to comment
Localfitbafan
In my mid to late teens I had 2 injections into my ankle/achillies to dry and dull the pain and speed up the healing process of an injury I had. The injections were sore at the time due to the lack of flesh in the area, but they worked quickly to resolve the issue. 25 years later I ended up having an achillies operations due to hardening and scarring in the achilles possibly due to the injections or possibly due to the old injury. They worked quickly for me for the medium to long term but the recovery after the achillies op was long and painful. Link to comment
Henry
This is a thread about cortisone injections Bluto, not meat injections, GTF. 2 Link to comment

Sounds as if it can lead to its own issues in the long run. Cheers min for info, and to you too Ms DeB...x Link to comment

Bluto10
I got a load of stitches in my ankle once, after a night out.Couldn't feel a thing. Flatmate spotted the pool of blood on floor. I dint know I'd even cut myself. Ergo moral of the story is to be a man, not a mouse. Link to comment
rumpus
Couldn't have made a good job of stitching your ankle if there was a pool of blood after... Ergo, probably talking shite. Had several broken ribs, didn't go to doctor for 5 days. A cube of glass after car crash lodged in arm, only went to doctor when arm was going gangrene. Broken cheekbone? Needed 3 operations to sort that out. Stil not fixed as I have trapped nerve in face which causes my top lip to droop in cold weather. Fractured skull? Close to death with that fucker. Broken collar bone? Yip, inflicted with a metal bar. 'Golf ball' shaped bone now as I didn't go for medical attention. Point being...I am as hard as hendersons so go fuck yourself. Link to comment
Bluto10
no rumpus min.The pool of blood on my carpet was before the ambulance and stitches. One man on here knows all about it.If I could upload a photo I'd show you. Ergo. It's fact. I hobbled to my exam a day later. Link to comment

daytripping
AMBULANCE + STITCHES = POOF Yep poor show from my bro, any real man would get the other halfs sewing set out and do it themselves, I've stitched myself loads of times, even reattached my own leg when I lost it fighting the Vietcong in Nam, don't like talking about it like. fine-n-dandy
Anyone had this done? Seemingly next step as the swimming's not making much difference to elbow. Sounds painful...I had it done. Snapped a tendon in my arm years ago but recovered after about a year but then about 8-10 years later (about a year & a half ago now) the tendon started giving me problems again & also started giving me tennis elbow (outer side of elbow where the tendon connects) I tried all kinds of physio but nothing seemed to work.Didn't want to go with cortisone cos you are only supposed to get those injections a few times in total & there's a bit of debate on whether they are worthwhile because of this. However my medic at work (who is very experienced) convinced me to go for it.I went for the injection & I can (so far) assure you it was a great decision.Injection itself isn't that bad (but they do grind it right in about the bone etc.) but it made my arm & elbow worse for a couple of days after (which was to be expected) but since then it has been fantastic. Good as new. So in short I would suggest getting the injection. Problem may come back sometime down the line & you will require injections again but it's better than suffering now all the time whilst yer still able to wank. Link to comment
Bluto10
Can you shorten that FND, into a sentence or two min.Cheers. Link to comment
