RAZOR
They have 8 small shops across Scotland and support the local running scenes. Doubt they are making millions if everyone had your attitude they wouldnt exist at all. Its slowly getting that way. Fingers crossed. Link to comment
Zeus
I'm all for shopping local but if something is a fair bit cheaper on sportshoes.com then I'm buying it there Link to comment
Foster14
Never liked run4it, too much high pressure selling for my liking. Prefer the running shop on George Street (formerly of South Mount Street). Link to comment
dave_min
Uncle KSL sounds like some boy. I could barely keep that pace over a Parkrun, nevermind an ultra. Thoughts and that with your family. Stonehaven Half is shite. Run4it isn't very good. Link to comment

RAZOR
Prefer the running shop on George Street (formerly of South Mount Street). I've heard they're just as expensive as Run4it? Disappointing as they originally advertised as being a cheaper alternative. Link to comment
The Buzzard
We got a few posts in before a 'omg, running is so boring.' attention seeker arrived anyway. Braemar is nice enough. Wouldn't say too hilly but it has few surprises tucked in. Very scenic.Cheers @@RAZOR. Looking forward to it for the scenery! Link to comment
Site Sponsor Dom Sullivan Posted June 21, 2018 Site Sponsor Share Posted June 21, 2018 Not really running thread - but going to Culloden or Burn O Vat this weekend for a walk, it's my new thing. Any advice, which is better? I went to Cullloden years ago, but I'm not thinking this will be boring as fuck - and better scenery at Burn O Vat?BOV much better. Culloden interesting but as you say, scenery at BOV is the biz Link to comment
Poodler
Burn o Vat is good. Loch Kinord can be done with it - few hours. Good chance of seeing snakes on a good day too Link to comment

Similar, entered a local 10k a couple of weeks back and came 23/700 after being at work and off the booze for 3 weeks. Meant to have a half marathon a week on Sunday but the training has resumed to getting pished at weekends so I’m doubting I’ll even bother showing up. Link to comment
Parklife
Done a 5k a couple of days ago. Disgraceful time from where I was but going to try and do one every 3 or 4 days for the next couple months and get the time down a couple minutes. Id forgotten how brilliant running with no stress could be. Best of luck in the races all. 1 1 Link to comment

Only done a couple as was previously in a place that was too hot to even consider running and I've been a little unwell. Going to be doing a bit hiking this week, as well as travelling, so probably won't run at all until next week. You faring any better? Link to comment
