I think we can safely assume Rodgers has gone. He can sign for anyone now and we haven't made him an offer.

We can still make him an offer but it seems that he's not rated because he'd have been recalled by now.

Houston said the other day that McInness told him he he would be offering Rogers a new deal.

 

Awfa wringing of hands here, maybe he thinks another 5 months of guaranteed first team action is what he needs at this stage.

I'd like to think there's a conversation behind the scenes between DM and Rogers, stick at it and he'll be guaranteed the #1 in summer. Gives DM more time to monitor his form, and gives Rogers guaranteed game time.

Rogers has been a No. 1 for a season & a half now. If McInnes has more confidence in a sub-keeper from a no-mark English Championship side, whos played twice this season, then there's absolutely no way Rogers will be our No. 1 in 8 months time.

Rogers might come good eventually, but giving him a full season at Falkirk was the plan so maybe DM values sticking to his word to the player and Falkirk. Brown is more than likely getting ditched end of the season so Rogers back then along with another keeper? Having read some of his interviews it doesn't come across as such a kick in the teeth to Rogers if he isn't recalled.......will wait and see how it pans out

I would think the Danny Rogers situation will replicate the Declan McManus one. We'll make a reasonable offer but he'll go elsewhere. Can see it a mile off.

I cant see any risk in going for a keeper that we know well and is coming back with confidence. If we don't show faith in Rogers now then a decent offer from any other team he may go for free. Any other young guy from Engilndshire would present more of a gamble in my opinion. Rather keep funds/wages for a striker and or midfielder and consider the Keeper position close season.
