His main achievement can only be described as massive during his time in charge of the SPL and now the SPFL. When you add up the following highlights;

 

He managed to put a deal on the table that meant there was no TV deal when Rangers went bust.

He managed to have a league and a cup without a main sponsor, that is some achievement.

He informed all the media that our game was dead without Rangers in it before he began negotiations with the broadcasters for rights and with that achieved less than half their worth.

However his greatest achievement by far has to be his claim that he rewrote the laws of the land so that a new company could claim to be an old company without having to pay any of the old company's debt and amazingly he also signed off on the sale of 'history' at the same time as well.

 

I'd say managing to do all that and still be paid £200'000 a year is, without a shadow of doubt, a massive achievement.
