buchanskii
19 Year old Oliver Burke becomes the most expensive Scottish player in history after joining Bundesliga club RB Leipzig for £13m from Nottingham Forest. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/37210754 Has anyone seen him play? As they do with most young players he is being labelled 'the next Gareth Bale' Link to comment
zander
He's in the Scotland squad so he must be shite. Link to comment
vanderark14
He apparently had a host of "bigger" sides after him but chose to go for a five year contract with side who were only formed in 2009 and are in their maiden season in the Bundesliga. He's a big strong lad with pace to burn. I really hope Scotland finally has a class player Link to comment

As they do with most young players he is being labelled 'the next Gareth Bale' I've seen a fair bit of him - I get Championship coverage on my cable TV subscription. He looks very, very good. Interesting to see how he'll do in the Bundesliga - from the tail end of last season, going into this beginning of the new season, it was obviously he was far too good for the Championship. His pace is unbelievable - very powerful too - particularly for a teenager. He'll have to develop other areas of his game to become a success - as pure pace and power won't be enough to succeed in germany. Link to comment

A few good seasons in Bundesliga then no doubt another tin pot club like Southampton or Stoke will bid £35 million. Link to comment

King Street Loon
An interesting move for the lad.Supposedly turned down Bayern Munich as well. Just been reading up on Leipzig.Interesting times there. Would be interesting to see what would happen if Aberdeen became a pet project for a brand like Red bull, but that's for another thread I suppose. Link to comment
dave_min
Fuck Red Bull. What they've done in Leipzig is worse than what the Sheiks have done with Man City and associated clubs. Also the boy is clearly English. I wish him both failure at club and country. Link to comment

I'd happily take anyone's money for a league title. Dead huns sold all theirs to Charles Green. Link to comment

strachanmcgheegoal
Personally I like the idea of running up 160 m debt first to buy several titles and destroy the oppositions player pools and then sell the assets to Red Bull and change fuck all! What? Is that not allowed then? Plus we'd have significant cost savings by not having to change the mascot! 1 Link to comment

Bluto10
Maybe ask him if he is Scottish or not instead of deciding for him. Link to comment
