King Street Loon
When I worked for the Council we went on strike for a couple of days. We had a demo outside the council building in Kittybrewster then had a walk to the Town House. Ended up going to the Trades Union Club in the Adelphi afterwards and got pissed. Link to comment

Big Man
In genreal I think unionisation is a democratising force and should be supported by all working people. It's the right wing bias of the media that chooses to paint strikers in a money grabbing light. The real money grabbing bastards are the credit default swap trading ones that work in leveraged finance and sponsor the daily mail to write such pish. 1 Link to comment

seann coirthe
I got fairly het up about it when the Fire Brigade went on strike. I had a lot of respect for guys that do the job ( my brother was a retained fireman for years) but all thatwent out the window when they went on strike. If you think you are worth more find a job that will pay you more. Link to comment

Government and the far right tabloids seem to massively have it in for anyone that strikes these days. Link to comment
manboobs109
I was a bit of a union firebrand in my days at Edinburgh Cooncil. Total shambles of an organisation. Led an unofficial work to rule to get our flyers on the day shift reinstated. Got fed up with the union after getting shafted under 'modernising pay' and getting fuck all support. In fact it was the union that kicked the whole thing off and I got well and truly fucked over. Cunts. Link to comment
