I know it's a bit early to discuss this but an interesting fixture dilemma is brewing up. Five of the top six are looking fairly clear cut and the sixth could be any one of the other seven teams. When the pre split fixtures are complete only St Johnstone of the current top five will have played more away games than home so not everyone will get the post split fixtures they expect and one team may have to play 20 away games (as happened to the Dons in 2005). The competition rules are quite clear about who is to be disadvantaged, that is the team who finish where they were not predicted based on the prior season's form.

Over to you SPFL.

As per the rules, we got the extra away game when we got into the top six in McInnes' first season, because the other five were all top six the previous season (Well, ITC, TSMSTID, St.J and the Tinks). So, the newbies get the extra away game, thats how it goes.

If Ross County make the top six this year the only new team will be the cheats, so theres no excuse, but there's sufficient sleaze room if Partick come sixth for situation cheat to come into play.

Hearts have asked to play the last few games of the season, and the first few games of next season, away from home so they can build their new main stand. So they're likely to play more away games than home.

That would help us as we're due to play them at Tynecastle. They are already due to play both the Old Firm away after the split anyway.

Hearts look like they'll finish 5th now. The bottom 7 are largely shite which makes it even more frustrating that we lost away at Hamilton.
