Granite95
Thought the last few games he's played at CM have been some of his better performances of late for us. Not saying he's been the best player on the park but he's put in a shift against both the ugly sisters and made some good tackles. Think a midfield of him and Shinniesta with Tansey rotating in would be quality Link to comment
Tord31
Thought he was pretty good in midfield last night. We'll go with Tansey, Shinnie and McLean as a midfield three next season I presume but if O'Connor could be sub for midfield that would allow us to focus the recruitment on defence and attack. Especially feckin centre half Link to comment
stirlingsheep
I think he's more positive than Jack in terms of the passes he tries to play - Jack immediately looks for a centre half or full back, O'Connor turns and tries to move it forward if possible. He's certainly put in a shift the last 2 games, I don't think he's a centre half, but looks a decent anchor man. Link to comment
Mr John
Funny how last summer, we all assumed he was coming into the club to play there, but wasn't used until now. We've been crying out for a good batch of central midfielders for ages, bodes well for next year. Link to comment
Panda
Would urge caution before lauding him at the replacement for Jack. He's played midfield plenty of times for us and not been great. The defeat to Fola Esch, Celtic away (4-1) are two that spring to mind. Played okay last night but let's be honest here, their midfield is shite. Would still prefer Jack back for final, and next season probably Tansey in there. And I'd rather O'Connor was in defence ahead of Taylor. However, yes, last night was encouraging at least. If he gets a run there like Considine has at LB then you never know, may grow into the role. 1 Link to comment

His first game and I thought he was actually one of our better players in that game. Whole team were shocking but he was just the scapegoat who got hooked. 2 Link to comment
Dave Bus
I'd still like to see Jack and shinnie in midfield next season with tansey as cover and potentially o'connor. O'connor and shinnie can play in other positions too which means we would have lots of options everywhere Link to comment

There's a definite midfielder in there and I feel we've missed a trick this season. We're going to play Reynolds and Taylor at CB for the final. They both need protection. Ryan Jack does not and never will offer that. He is FAR too soft and FAR too negative. 1 1 Link to comment
herouali
Centre mid 100% - not comfy at CB as he's been a right footer playing at LCB and next to Taylor The boy fucking loves winning and a battle (Captaincy qualities too). Shinnie for captain though! His ball for Hayes' goal in the semi final was intelligent too. Link to comment

Funny but I think he's always looked more comfortable at DM and if anything needs to learn a lot more if he's going to remain a CB. Link to comment
Rebel Red
He's steady enough, nothing special but he does a job as a defensive midfielder. Still think he's a centre back first though. Link to comment

Like Taylor for instance. When was the last time that cunt was substituted if it wasn't injury related? Link to comment
