BWG
Maybe McInnes can sub GMS for him next time we're 1-0 down. Fucking prick. 8 1 Link to comment
boboisared
Any good? https://www.afc.co.uk/2018/01/26/signing-news-devlin-becomes-don/From what I've always seen he is limited but Solid. Hard to judge when he is playing in a team that is up against it most weeks. I'm not unhappy with this signing. McInnes says it is very much a signing for next season so someone will be off. Andy_123
O'Connor, Arni and Ball likely. Was never overly impressed when I saw him at Hamilton, but he's bound to be better than most of our current CB options. Welcome to the dons min. Link to comment
Parklife
Not brilliant by any means but reasonable signing, with scope to improve. He's also not a big shite bag and will increase the leadership quotient in the side. Link to comment

Would imagine it'll be him and McKenna in the middle towards the end of the season and into next. Hopefully build up a decent partnership. Link to comment
YorkDon
If he and McKenna can forge a decent partnership then we could get 3/4 seasons with the pair before the latter gets a big move away. Link to comment

Mr John
Not the answer. Now...if we're saying he's a CB for next season, what about the complete lack of options in Midfield/LB now??? Link to comment
Crossbow
If he gets better from his injury - and lets hope he does given the length of his contract - can we put Kari into the midfield stopper role. He could last there a season (or maybe two) and move Shinnie to left back. Link to comment
thomsod
Devlin and Mckenna next season could be a strong partnership. Decent signing if he can come back ok from his injury. Link to comment

What has signing a defender with a long term vision got to do with your perceived lack of options in midfield? 1 Link to comment

ab24_5qh
Another very average squad signing....with an injury as well. Hope I'm wrong but really don't think he'll cut it away from Accies. Link to comment

Ball certainly should go I'd much rather keep Arnie for another year than Considine or Reynolds though. O'Connor i think is more useful as a squad player, i'd actually keep him as emergency cover for a few positions (Consi and Reynolds can't cover the Defensive Mid role) and while he's not brilliant I think he's ok for cover - the real issue is we are so thin in the squad at CM an CB that he has to play almost every week So, ideally sign a CM and Left Back, get Arnie fit and resigned then move Reynolds and Consi outwards 1 Link to comment

I'd say "look McInnes this is what we've been saying for months you blind bastard" And also "now sign some fucking proper cover so we never end up having to play Shinnie in Mid and Considine at LB again, thanks" In all seriousness, having just enough acceptable cover and no more just isn't good enough and exactly why we get in this problems, so I won't get excited if Chidi helps the issue a little - we need more. V for Vendetta
Any chance we might see Reynolds go to Hamilton or Partick who both need CB cover I think? If we sign a left back (imagine that!) we don't really need Reynolds as we have Considine and Ball to cover CB if really needed (I know, I know) Link to comment

RUL
Fairly sure Reynolds has signed a contract extension and will finish his career at Aberdeen as back up. Link to comment
V for Vendetta
Fairly sure Reynolds has signed a contract extension and will finish his career at Aberdeen as back up. He definitely signed an extension. But we have too many backups is my view on it. In Reynolds, O'Connor and Considine we have 3 guys who are mediocre. I'd keep 1 of the 3 but probably Reynolds is least versatile. Link to comment

V for Vendetta
Daniel Harvie should be starting at LB tomorrow IMO. Been saying it for weeks. Sometimes we'd just be better letting a young guy settle and take the pain of the odd poor performance rather than playing a player we know is limited and not in good form anyway. Link to comment
V for Vendetta
Talking of young players, it really seems like we could use an injection of enthusiam, energy and fearlessness that younger players can bring - Deek never seems to rate the impact of that on the team either, Its always bring in the safe pair of hands even if its some mediocre player who is low in confidence and has been on the end of a doing from Rangers or Celtic half a dozen times.
