shut up meg
I don't get why it's even a discussion Cosgrove will be the one who sets the bar very, very high for our highest fee ever received I think people are worried due to AFC inability in the past to get transfer fees for good prospects. We have been very poor in the past in comparison to Dundee United, Hibs and Hearts. shut up meg
How, who have hibs and hearts sold recently for a surprising sum? (Ps see, this is better than petty insults, eh?) I said in the past, not recently! Link to comment
shut up meg
Still not getting away with the fact that AFC have fucked up transfers in the past, let's hope we've improved since the bad old days. Link to comment

Fridge
I come on for genuine Aberdeen fc chat but its few and far between You, for example, are without a doubt one of the many usernames sooperhanz has Its incredibly obvious (and banal)Ha! So where do you think I stay Aberdeen or Glasgow? Some amount of pish you come away with. Link to comment

Don Fonte
Why? So you can try and hold me to it? And even when he is sold for that amount, you argue it anyway and say it's in installments or linked to various bonuses?Just for an opinion my anxious/paranoid friend. I gave my figure of 3.5m. Couldn't care if I was miles wrong either way when it comes to it. Link to comment
Don Fonte
Ok 5m plus And I wouldn't be surprised if it was 6m plus One things for sure, we need to have learned from the mckenna debacle and take the big offer when it comes in I think stoke would be typical club to come in for himI'm not sure we get offered anything close to 5m. It's a gamble when the offer comes in though...what if he goes on a dry spell? Link to comment
Don Fonte
Yeah, like mckenna If we get offered 5m, we take it. Use 2m for a fee for a marquee signing, 1.5m for 10k a week wages on 3 year contract and 1.5m in bankIs £5m your cut off? Link to comment
Don Fonte
Yes If someone offers 5m, we take it Dont hold on for 6 just incase, that's what happened with McKenna4.5? Link to comment
V for Vendetta
I know, I'm so unoriginal I should either quote an office joke, make a hilarious joke about athletic players, make a tedious link to something said by saying "love xxx", say the new stadium isnt happening, call Brian from perth stinky, call mcinnes sleekit, call mcinnes a hun or debate the finest chipper (chippy) Blocked Link to comment
V for Vendetta
No chance If we wanted over 6m for McKenna, why wouldn't we for Cosgrove?Completely agree. He's easily better than McKenna now. BUT...the McKenna lesson has to be sell while the stock is high. Should probably have taken the Villa offer or whatever was the best for McKenna. So if we get offered £4m / £5m for Cosgrove with a sell on, I say sell. Link to comment

tightbreeks
We need to keep a hold of samson until the end of the season. If he gets injured, then that would be a shitter. It's a risk worth taking coz he's banging in the goals and Europe football is the goal. We'll find another goal scorer, it's not that hard in the league we play in to get a replacement. There's been donkeys in the past but get this new stadium and it'll entice a few from doen south up north. Mckenna will sort itself out or we might have another zander diamond on our hands. Wester Hailes Skins
Lucky you WHS.Yeah, but let's be honest, he won't have. All that cos I said Cosgrove is decent and has improved.Bet he's reading that and dying to comment. But can't. Cos I'm blocked. He says. Link to comment
RUL
I think it will be similar to Stockley fee that Exeter got from Preston, which was £750,000. Maybe slightly more. The club will probably feel burned with the McKenna deal and sell. With Anderson and Ruth doing so well with the reserves I think we would accept any bid over £1M. Link to comment

Stoke still have parachute payments so they'll still be minted. Anything less than £2.5 million would be negligent again from the club... And whilst I'm not say BD is anywhere near Morelos if he ends up leaving for double what Cosgrove does, it'll be a fucking travesty... Particularly given the goal stats... (even with the penalties included). Link to comment

Stockley had six months left on his contract and could of signed a pre contract so any money Exeter got was a bonus. Cosgrove has like 3 years left and is being watched by a number of clubs. Minimum 4 million IMO with add on's. Link to comment

No way on earth would we be selling for a million, although there's no doubt Stoke (or any other interested club) will definitely try to low-ball us initially. It's not like we can be bullied into selling him...there's years left on his contract. Link to comment

strachanmcgheegoal
On a total tangent from the above. Did anyone hear Craig Brown on Shortbread rayjo yesterday? (the link is, when reminiscing about Berti Vogts one of the key learnings from German Football was to avoid just hurling it "up the line.") His all time top 5 5-aside team was: Leighton (clearly had had issues with Goram off the field, acknowledged Jim's limitation would have been with the ball at his feet in the modern game). Tom Boyd Colin Hendry (he justified this by confirming he'd never actually had Willie Miller as a player whilst manager). Big Eck never got a mention interestingly. Paul McStay (Chose him over Lambert, Macleod, Collins - anyone seeing a theme here?) Ally Mcwankstain (for the banter) Link to comment

Probably not even actually amusing to the person posting it. Just makes them look desperate to take part at any cost. 3 Link to comment
