Anyone else abroad that find this an abysmal failure 50% of the time?

Trying to purchase today and some thing called Sage Pay keeps getting an error.

WTF is sage pay anyway? Fly by night outfit?

AFC have missed out on $100s of purchases from me over the years.

The whole thing is a mess. RedTV keeps saying I need to sign in, even though it says "SIGNED IN". The shop had my old address, so I changed it to my current address, which seemed to work ok. It wasn't until I was about to hit Order that I noticed it had reverted back to my old address. I tried 3 times to change it, and each time it just went back to my old one.

 

Didn't have a payment issue though. Probably the only thing that worked.

Yeah it took me about 20 minutes fiddling around to change my delivery address.

The club took the piss a bit by emailing and promoting on social media "don't miss out, 30% discount at the club shop" in the final few days in January, with the message pretty clear that you needed to buy now or miss out on the discount.

 

Then on February 1st they actually changed the discount to 50%, so anyone who did buy in the last few days of January actually got shafted, while those who ignored the club's message got a better discount.

 

The club really don't get that biting the hand that feeds them isn't a particularly good idea.

Think the SAGE Pay setup is a security screen of some kind, it usually works okay for me. Although I was away to buy a top this week, so I’ll try it and see what happens

It's a fitba club, no doubt they outsource to the cheapest vendor they can find that makes them the most profit, same as the food contract.

I'd guess they try and get rid of stock at 30% off. What's left after that they further reduce to 50% to shift it all.

 

Saying this is don't agree with the above tactic of claiming there's a limited time at 30% off that implies it'll go back up in price after.

 

Although...if it's a price you're happy with then buy. If not then don't. If it then goes up/down who cares.

From memory I think they sometimes don’t work with foreign cards? Mine probably works okay because it’s registered to a UK address. I only use my US account/card over here
