Didn’t realise he has made a fairly recent ill fated comeback. Embarrassing stats and should probably stick to commentary and the senior circuit. 

Yeah I probably should've said gave up rather than retired. I practised in the same club as him as a kid. He went from playing 6/7 hours a day 6 days a week to a couple of hours every other day after winning that 7th.

And his comeback is a joke. Puts in no effort and should have his tour card taken off him.

It’s an advantage. The chinese players have to do a world more travelling and everything else.

Look at the support O Sullivan gets. There is no way he would get the same level of support if it was abroad.

The events you refer to are not majors and merely token gestures from barry hearn to keep other nations happy.

Do you think if the world championship was held in china there would be a chinese champion by now?

I honestly don't think Ronnies support would be less, look at the event in Saudi just recently, majority were all there for him.

The Chinese players aren't forced to move here, majority that have came to Sheffield do so at a young age as the coaching is better for them, could even argue that most moved here before they were even well known in the sport.

There are 3 tournaments in China next season, if you are lucky you'll maybe get 1 Chinese winner, cos here's the thing, the best players tend to win tournaments regardless of where they are and the best players aren't Chinese.

Darts has been consistently growing for years, it's never been bigger than now and there are loads of tournaments across the world.

Snooker hasn't broken as many markets but are working on it, the biggest issue is that the best players are all older, not many good youngsters coming through, especially ones from countries that would make it worthwhile for adding tournaments.
