League Cup Final... (Ticket Allocation)

Recommended Posts

Semi ticket sales not exactly helping any argument that it should be 50:50. 20,000 is fine lets be honest.

No north stand again. Mugged off.

Scottish cup final was split down the middle, tims got a few more south stand seats that we didn't sell and there were a couple of empty rows of absolutely shite front row seats behind the goals. Virtually a full house. That for me is the ONLY acceptable way to do it.

It was accepted then but we are easily mugged off now.

Anyone who knows Hampden Park knows that the north stand has the only decent seats in the ground.

Club said "our most loyal supporters get access to the best seats available" but failed to add "if you are willing to pay £40 for the south stand, the rest are shite"

I agree with Tord, 20,000 is just about right. As pointed out by Aberdeen, we sold 18,000 v Celtic for the LC final two years ago, and 20,000 for the Scottish Cup final. There's little to suggest the demand will be higher this time, especially for them fucking prices.

Would have liked to have seen us go for the whole north stand then sell west stand section by section, but it is what it is. Plenty of good seats in the south stand for those that want to be at the side of the pitch.

What I don't understand is, why are kids/senior tickets only available in the west stand?

You would think anyone wanting to sit is likely to be an OAP, so why only offer reduced prices for them in the stand where everyone will be standing?

That particular point is a pain in the arse. I took my son to the semi and got us both tickets in the south stand so he had a good view. He's only 7. To do the same again will be minimum 35 quid or I take him to the west stand with a shite view.

I'm not complaining about that allocation, based on the last 2 finals we went to, 20k should just about do us.

But IMO, on this separate issue what we took to the semi should have zero bearing. It's a final, it's supposed to be a neutral venue. If any side going to a final can sell a 50% allocation then that's what any team should get, regardless of what they took to the semi, as a point of principle.

I know in a situation where demand from one team will be far higher they will cite the semi as why they should get more tickets and I'm sure even some fans of the 'smaller' team might even say screw the gloryhunters, but if they can sell 50% they should get 50%.

Again, this isn't our specific situation, I'm not arguing against what's happened here.

Aye that's wrong when Celtic can get concessions on the North Stand. They should be offering concession tickets to Aberdeen fans who don't want to, or can't stand behind the goal.

The whole north stand will be standing too though.

It's generally accepted at Hampden that everyone stands except for the south stand.

It looks like the north west corner that has by far the best seats 'available' to us (and concessions available) might not actually be available. They look like being held back until the end so they will go to either celtic fans, or released to us if we have already sold all the shite.

I hope I got that wrong but fear I haven't.

I think you're right. They'll sell the 16,800 first and once they're gone they'll open up the NW corner which will take us up to 20k. Easier to segregate and hand over to Celtic if we don't sell the original allocation.

Well surely all you have to do is ask one of your sources?

So who is actually going to get the best seats from our allocation? Nobody in a hurry to buy or with loyalty points.

If you get those tickets it's because we have already sold 17000. Club have been mugged off again and those seats are going to tims imo.
