Got a new turntable and a few old school vinyl records for my birthday and i'm looking for some sites/shops with selections of new and/or used records I can buy.

Anyone got a record player any can recommend places to purchase vinyl?

Mo' Fidelity in Montrose. They'll price match a load of places too. Don't think have a website but contact them via Facebook with what you're after.

Pretty much son - Wi-Fi rather than Bluetooth.

Here - don't worry about setup; it's a pice of piss. Download the app to your phone, connect the speakers, and that's it.

with a record player you need analogue connections tho, not digital tho, yeah?

what have sonos got ?

That's what the Sonos Amp is for - to allow your dusty old shite to connect to Sonos speakers.

They've got live help chat on sonoseses website - give them a holler son

If bluto doesn't have sonos speakers it's a bit daft buying their amp. Amp and a couple of speakers and you're looking at 800-900 quid.

Buy a very good hi fi and turntable, or turntable and speakers for that.

Never been too bothered with the aesthetics of which plastic music comes on. Having young kids really does curtail my music listening opportunities. I have spotify, amazon music (alexa) and thousands of mp3s on my computer as some stuff I like just isn't available on any of those platforms. All my old vinyl is in my mum's attic and although analogue sound is generally better than digital (although you'd need very expensive equipment and good hearing to notice) I just can't be arsed with removing vinyl or CDs from the sleeve/cases in order to play them. Never have the situation after a drunken session where records and CDs are all across the floor.

I need the whole kit: so amp and speakers

if getting speakers I’m tempted to get a CD player too ( to make use of my plethora of CDs whilst my burgeoning LP collection flowers)

bloke in the shop directed me towards Quad.

but fuck me, not cheap

No point in buying sonos then.

I bet the sales guy recommended Quad - pricey.

All depends what you want - My mate has a turntable with its own amp, so it attaches straight to speakers - cracking sound. Cost around 400 quid all in. Think it's a denon turntable.

I've got a hi-fi, and added a turntable which I plug in through the aux. Does the job nicely.
