Geoff_Tipps
I think you're showing yourself up FnD. McLennan was fucked (cramping etc), I thought he played well but there comes a time when a player is running on empty they become a risk. He was extremely lucky to escape a red card. This isn't a case of defending Mcinnes, just acknowledging the sub was 100% the correct decision Link to comment
Big Hat Logan
It isn't. You are clinging to a good result (though we probably deserved more overall) & taking any criticism of McInnes overly personal it seems. Way too overprotective where it is not required. It was a shite substitution. Simple as that. Accept it & move onYou are becoming more and more hysterical with every post. Prob best to have a lie down. 1 1 Link to comment

He is a complete waste of a shirt. A fkn nae use'r. Try & call it attacking if you want but It really isn't with that cunt Wilson. Any one of May,Campbell, or Gleeson should have been on before Wilson (probably in that order) hell even Devlin on for set piece threat (as that was where we were causing them more problems) was worth some ridiculous consideration before putting Wilson on. Yes some would have bitched at it looking like defensive in that case though lol Link to comment

Prob best to have a lie down.Do you even know the meaning of hysteria lol Pathetic response (twice even) The substitution was incorrect (shite) simple as that. Wilson is a bag full of doggy doodoo bags. You are a pathetic happy clapper (in simple terms) Still no hysteria in there. Promise I will have a lay down though once I do start to raise my pulse rate 1 1 Link to comment
old sheep
Absolutely nothing wrong with tactics or substitutions today. Anyone actually at the game will tell you that. Link to comment

ericblack4boss
Very much agree with this. Jockey Scott is one of our greatest unsung heroes, who masterminded an era in which we played some of the best football in our history (and yes, I include the Fergie era in that). We were capable of giving any team in Britain a game between 1988-91 and had the Europa League set-up been as it is now, we'd have been group stage (and maybe final knockout stage) regulars. Smith set the team up to defend in that fateful day and we paid the price. I don't know if that contributed to Scott walking away, but the breakup of that comanager team was the end of a great era, though admittedly Miller's first two seasons were mighty close. Hewitt a the pies
McInnes got it spot on today. Set up perfect. Why would anyone -1 this? It's fair enough to criticise him when things aren't going so well but equally you have to give him credit when he gets it right. Yesterday he was spot on. 1 1 Link to comment
maryhilldon
He got everything pretty much spot on I thought.Yep. Link to comment

What I do know, is that it was the end of an era that day, for a great AFC team was never the same again. Link to comment
boboisared
Was it pants. If you cannot improve the play by making the change don't make the change.McLennan was playing well & they were struggling to cope with him, he was making a nuisance of himself in a good way.Ferguson was non existent & Stewart was pretty dire if truth be told.If any HAD to be changed it could/should have been either one of them. Wilson (as I said) would probably have been the last choice to come on. Would rather put Cerny up front than that useless fkIf Candeias knew the player who caught him was MacLennan then he would have went down. Link to comment
fine-n-dandy
If Candeias knew the player who caught him was MacLennan then he would have went down. Not sure the relevance of this. McLennan didn't get sent off. Could he have been with that challenge? Possibly.Would he have been in the latter five minutes? Again possibly but as could any other player. Wilson was the wrong sub to bring on. Every other bench player wants a crack in the team. He doesn't.Simple as that. Wrong sub & hindsight proved as such (shouldn't have been required) as he done absolutely fk all. Link to comment

We didn't fail to win the game because Wilson played 5 minutes.I am replying to folk that quote me. Problem like? Care like? My point is that all saying McInnes got it spot on on Sunday. I agreed he got it 'close to' spot on but not spot on. Wilson is a waste of a shirt & should be nowhere near the bench/squad now. I never once said it had any effect on result one way or other. Just that it was a shite substitution based on Wilsons horrendous attitude to date barring 20/30 purple patch v Livingston Link to comment

The added benefit is I don't have to read his shite if it's not quoted by someone else. 1 1 Link to comment

Just commenting on your wildly disproportionate anger at Wilson getting 5 minutes game time when he was the most likely player on the bench to nick a goal late on. Plus, the weekly bill from Man Utd is probably less if he gets on the pitch. Therefore not only good tactical sense by McInnes but also sound financial sense too! If only he could stop Greg Stewart losing the ball in his own half Link to comment

I can assure you though, I am far from angry. I am also calmness personified 99% of time (this being in the 99%)I am also nowhere near hysterical or raging as other have been miss reading whilst I have been saying Wilson is simply a complete wasted shirt/sub.
