Blamed the ref for the penalty decision Blamed the press for his players being under pressure By implication, blamed his players for not being able to handle the pressure Blamed the club for the Leigh injury and the late recruitment. Can you name a manager that wouldn't blame the referee for that penalty? Jury is out on the late recruitment. Link to comment

Might be a chance that Celtic pay compensation for Clarke and the SFA then pay compensation for McInnes after the summer finals. Win win finance wise That would be good - we could offer to buy the managers position for McInnes. Hello SFA, are you still skint? How would you like to pay negative compensation for Derek McInnes, Tony Doc and Barry Robson? Negative compensation of £250k? Link to comment

fine-n-dandy
Ooooft yaaaas that would be ace. The money they spunk on wages on (former) ‘big name’ players etc. coupled with McInnes’s love of recovering cruciate injuries would be a match made in heaven ? Link to comment
King Street Loon
Form from last 5 games under our esteemed manager. Link to comment
fine-n-dandy
Just how low does his seasons win % have to get before the board acts? must be a good bit below 40% (which it was before Hibs game) so only getting worse. We are seeing the real McInnes average now. The one where circumstances do not play massively in his favour & the chips are down. Being found out for the average manager he is just as Lennon was at Hibs & Celtic & Bolton. 1 Link to comment

Geoff_Tipps
Another McInnes masterclass and the sort of football that clearly makes Cormack hard. Why our chairman continues to back him is beyond me. Both McInnes and Cormack continue to ruin our club. 1 2 Link to comment

I reckon this too. Whether it was a gamble on McInnes turning things round to finish 3rd - now looking like a bad call, or there's simply no suitable replacement available. I suspect there was a judgement call made last week to stick Link to comment
strachanmcgheegoal
All joking aside he’d be a good manager for hertz. Bringing to them what he brought to us which, from where they are must be pretty fucking appealing. Question they need to ask is what do they expect once he’s done that. If it’s to plateau, regress and end up floundering in the dark, making an arse of a gimme 3rd then yes. Crack on. Link to comment

Not necessarily. if we get to a stage where 3rd is unattainable or unrealistic then they might pony up & get rid of him & give the new man 4-5 games post-split (like McInnes got) to assess what he has & what he needs for 2021/22? Unlikely though. Link to comment
