On today's preformance he was back to his best.......he offered nothing his passing was awful and thank God he was taken off as immediately the midfield woke up

Said it many times on this forum he is to wee physically to be a professional footballer

Harsh I know but I cannot simply understand what makes fans think he is so accomplished

How much money compensation would we be looking at for him?

when the team is shite but you have a sellable asset it’s a strangely decent position. Doesn’t really hurt to lose the player cause the team can’t be any worse. Was similar when Fergie & Ramsay were sold.

Based on few factors on FIFA calculator. Been here from when compensation starts at 12 so we get all set amount per year. FIFA list countries and club ranges and table showing the annual compensation figure. Think  Dons are Category 2 in FIFA training table and calculation also based on Category of country/ club he goes to. Rough calculation using their online calculator if he went to decent level in England is about £450k

Polvara in for him for the foreseeable please

Pleasing thing about Polvara was seeing him getting stuck in.

Having someone as a physical presence in the middle made a massive difference towards the end of the game.

He’s came on leaps and bounds since coming back from America, a think he could be right decent in the future, coached well, defo has the physique, just needed a bit of grit and guts, hope he kicks on.

It's a minor miracle that he's developed at all given the upheaval at the club in his time here.

He's had, what, 5 managers in his time here?

He's been punted back to America, left out of the team, sat on the bench, used sparingly, scored in Europe, and captained the side. There's been no consistency for him at all. Yet he's kept his head down, hasn't sulked, and gives it his all.

If he'd been given a run, when managers were persisting with disinterested shitbags, he'd be further down the road to being a first pick on the team sheet.

Get him and Ruby back in the team and we'll be better for it.

Polvara certainly illustrated the kind of contribution today that would make that switch a plausible reality. I said to a mate while watching the game that although I like Barron and he’s talented, he is, much like Polvara, far from the finished article. Difference being that Barron has made it quite clear in avoiding the contract, that he sees his future elsewhere. So at this point if we’re playing a future talent that needs game time, it has to be Polvara. Both have talents, both have deficiency’s, play the one that wants it.

And Polvaras technique to set up that volley and the volley itself were sublime. Watch him take the touch to lay the ball up away from the player and still snap shot the volley at pace. Absolutely superb. More of that it won’t even be a debate anymore.

spoke to him in Atlanta and the boy is a bit of a monster. Huge lad like. A real physical presence. But with superb technique. To retread a rather tired parlance, ‘there’s a player in there’. Except I think we saw it today.

Yep, totally agree, why we are playing Barron when he’s sitting on the bench is beyond me, hopefully gets a run when the new manager gets announced.

Maybe because Barron is a better player?

He had a bad game today but the last time we played Ross County he was arguably man of the match.

Our 'support' is so toxic.

Ok, let me put it like this, why are we giving him a game in the first place when he refuses to commit his future with us?,

and is he?, played numerous times were he has hid the entire game. Won’t be missed.

Polvara is horse as well. He's had multiple chances and proven he can actually be worse than Barron. If you honestly think Polvara is the answer then we're fucked.

Polvara is another who needs punted if we're to improve.

Why wouldn't we? He's still our player. Miovski might leave in summer, should we stop playing him too?

Did you watch the game yesterday?

Polvara changed the game as did Duk while Barron did absolutely fuck all the entire game. It would be completely illogical not to start Polvara over him in the next few games.

No because he has came out and stated the time he has spent here is good and was waxing lyrical about how Aberdeen have given him a platform to get the number 9 shirt for Macedonia, he also has a few years left on his contract, whereas Barron is leaving for free(development fee) in the summer, with no intentions of signing a deal.

And there lies the problem. Polvara comes on and has a decent game. Starts the next and is rank rotten and gets subbed like in every game he starts. Even in the first half v Well. Barron will have a good game and everyone wants him resigned until he has a crap game. Then it's punt him. It's the lack of consistency and continual changes in the starting line up that has contributed to a terrible season.

Starting games and coming on as sub are two completely different things.

Barron is a better option to start games, Polvara a better option as a sub.

In reality we need better than both.

I’m not actually sure Dante has played the full 90 minutes for us (someone will have the stats). But he does add something to our game with decent vision and extra height.
Like any player, he would definitely benefit from a regular starting place in a team that doesn’t chop and change 3-4 players every week.
If he continues to develop he could be a big player for us next year and beyond.

I've watched plenty of Polvara not to want him in an Aberdeen shirt thank you. Like Ramirez he is an absolute coward. Not what is required for Scottish football.

I have already stated previously he might do well in another less physical league but for us he is a passenger.
