Has Atlanta been good for AFC

It seems since the agreement with Atlanta things for Aberdeen have gone downhill rapidly. With the exception of Ramirez any additions through this tie up have been substandard. But what’s  more annoying is Aberdeen being involved in murky dealings with information being withheld from the support eg Herdanez and Glass

Waste of time. Don’t think the Atlanta fans know what they’re getting out of us, nor do they give a fuck about scottish football. We don’t know what we get out of them, nor do we give a fuck about American football. Just cormack trying to act big time in front of his yank mates.

Shame we couldn't partner with a decent continental club. Like Real or Bayern, given historic links. Give some of their fringe or youth players real experience in a tough, physical league, like what we did with Maddison. But we don't have the ambition and the people running the club don't have the balls.

Given our historic links ? what that we played them nearly 40 years ago? Dare say they have played quite a few teams over the years. I doubt many of their fans even remember those matches ?

Haven't existed for decades

Amalgamated with Winterslag in 1988 forming new club called Genk and doing very well in recent years

Sounds like a team based on my ex at a Christmas party.

This link has always been very dodgy.

I suspect what they get out of it is that we sign US based players and then eventually either loan them or let their contract run out to then go to Atlanta on a free. Will not be shocked if Ramirez ends up at Atlanta in the summer. Very obvious this was the tactic with Hernandez.

The dodgy bit is where the money came from for Hernandez and also the big pay cut that Ramirez took to come here (was he nae on quite a bigger wage before us). Are Atlanta funding that?

What do we get out of it...a load of dud Atlanta reserves on loan that are nowhere near good enough.

As shite as this season has been, and assuming Cormack is part of the 'Atlanta package', then we've done okay out of it so far, in terms of infrastructure if not actual playing staff.

If you take Cormack out of the equation then... no.

I'm not sure Atlanta fans think much of the partnership either, tbh.

Nothing wrong with networking, though.
