sooth_stander
Is it possible that the delay is fuck all to do with any failed medicals and is down to an issue with a player going the opposite direction; Watkins for example? Maybe it’s to do with brokering a pay off from us, etc etc? Link to comment
MattTheTank
My guess is the failed medical rumour is pish and he will sign before the weekend Link to comment

It looks like it didn't put them off signing him and they are happy to address the issue Link to comment

If it was a prospect for the future that we were looking to buy then fair enough but would be a pointless loan. Link to comment

Na, Nicholson was a virtual ever-present min, and a good and important player for us after an admittedly slow start. Unless you mean Jamie Smith who had injury woes? When fit Smith was an excellent player for us but he had an undiagnosed back issue for months and months that caused a number of hamstring and groin injuries. We seem to be going down a different road with our transfers this year. I'd still like to see a marquee signing, a "known" quantity if you like. But the market we are in we have to take risks with our recruitment. The "data" might suggest that the signings are low-risk, but the rapid pace of the Scottish game might be a leveller to those stats so time will tell. All things considered I'm optimistic. It's inevitable that one or two of them will bomb out, that's just the way of things, but I think in particular that Miovski, Coulson and Roberts will prove to be very shrewd acquisitions. COYR!!! That's about 17 games a season at £10,000 a game for the transfer fee alone. Forgot about St. Bernard. Ach, he was excellent in the '95 league cup semi final against the dead club (a certain fat, George wife-beating bastard couldn't take it?) and scored on his debut against Partick, so I'll take it easy on the lad. He has been playing above the level of his counter parts for his age as he has been playing for the reserve team a lot instead of the under 18's because he is so highly rated and has been doing so from when he signed as a 16. Been talked about as the next Alan Smith. 49 minutes ago, slippers said: Feel pretty similar. He has 1 year left on contract by looks. I would very much doubt that Leeds would be letting one of their highest rated youngsters leave for free. I would have my doubts that there is anything in this story as I don't believe we would be able to sign him on a permanent and if they are loaning him out it would be more likely to be somewhere that he will start more games than he would for us right now because he is still a youngster learning his trade and needs to develop physically. Once again the 2 of you were quick of the mark with the negativite comments and desperate to dismiss a players quality as quick as you can though. I dare say Thurso will be along soon too so he can back you both up that he would be a terrible signing and say he is not good enough either. 1 Link to comment
