Back in the day the Ukrainians had a bunch of Soviet nuclear (and nuclear capable) missiles they were having dismantled to ensure Russia never attacked them, but given the mess of Russia and Ukraine at the time their inventory system was not the best.

You don’t have to be sure about it, it’s facts. 
 

There’s a BBC podcast detailing the accounts of the young women doing their national service at watch posts. How they reported all this unusual activity. Fence cutting, groups training etc etc.

this is correct. 

id add the US media seems to be under the misapprehension that israel, as a state that was attacked, isnt under any obligation to follow international rules. yes, they were brutally attacked, but they are subject to rules that hamas, as a terrorist organization isnt. it drives me nuts when they "forget" this. yes, israel can "defend itself", no they cant just do whatever they want. and it hurts US foreign policy and world standing to be their international lawyer.
