Is the McCrorie going to the back dependent on either Barron being fit for Celtic or new signing for midfield?

Will he go with Polvara/Milne in midfield ahead of playing Bates at the back?

It would make sense to get minutes in to all those players to keep the options open.

Suspect the same team as before but with Polvara coming in for Scales.

Unless Barron makes a miraculous recovery.

I was thinking they might start Lopes to top up his fitness. Try & get an hour out of him.

I do think they’ll go with McCrorie alongside Stewart.

Assuming Barron doesn’t make it (has there been any update on him anywhere?) it’ll be Polvara coming in.

Interesting reading Goodwin today speaking about working on more defensive strategies in the build up to the JJs game, in training but presumably during the Raith Rovers game too.

So far they’ve been working on offensive stuff, so whether he’ll add a 3rd central midfielder on Sunday, we’ll see.

A year ago we made the mistake of thinking we were good enough to rest players and give guys a 'run out'.

Fuck that on Sunday. Play our best XI and don't fucking arse around with thinking we've already got this won because we beat a couple of pub teams.

Yep.

The Celtic game can look after itself.

By all means try a few different things against Raith. But get the game won first.

Sometimes you can try to be too clever and it can bite you on the arse.

Exactly. Second half last night was the time to experiment. Can fuck about with formations etc if we go 2 or 3 up on Sunday

Scores on the doors

Bold teams have played all there games and can only go down not up

Qualified

Aberdeen Seeded - needs a 2-0 Raith win to put us out completely,1-0 we will probably still qualify. A draw qualify but may not be seeded
Partick
Ross County
Hibs
 Arbroath
Annan possibly Seeded - definatly qualified
ICT
Dundee Seeded
Killie
Airdrie
Falkirk

 Hard to Qualify

St Johnstone Need at least 4 goals on QoTS
Livvie need two goals at least
Hibs have no games left they are in position 1 with the LOWEST points scored two 2nd placed teams already match their pts scored a draw for falkirk drops then into second place and probably out

Out from Premiership

St Mirren

Hoping that Saturday's results add up to mean that we have qualified and that any win makes us top seed from any group

Win - We should be seeded and Qualified if its 1-0 then 2oo3  form Arbroath or ICT Dundee by 4 more goals than us both teams add a goal for each goal over 1 on our GD

Draw and Pen win 2oo3 from above all need to win

Draw and pen loses 2 out of three wins from the 6 other teams

Loose Based on GD if we loose by a low score it would need 3 high scores to keep us out

By Sat night should be easily able to confirm but I think a 1-0 win is seeded draw anything else is probably a qualified un seeded

Sat night will do the following

1-1 Pen win and lose
1-0
0-0 Pen win and lose
0-1
0-2

Pretty sure that will cover it

Us and Falkirk the only 2 teams to have not conceded a goal yet. And Falkirk have played a game less.

Yes laughing at you Hibs!

I remember cheering for the rat at that Falkirk cup game at one point years ago.

(Tbf I never liked him)

If it’s only 3 highest 2nd place teams go through Hibs are basically fkd aren’t they? They would need about half a dozen scores to go their way

If Falkirk lose they are ok if Falkirk draw then they need about 3 teams not to win direct or on pens. Most important is hibs are out of games and have zero influence on the outcome

Sunday is going to be the first example this season of the shite that we have put up with from the likes of Motherwell/St Mirren/St Johnstone etc etc.

10 men behind the ball for most of the game, then try to hit us when we inevitably give away possession.

The last few seasons we've really struggled against these teams. We're too slow in getting the ball forward and by the time our defence and holding midfielder have passed the ball 20 times across the park to each other, the opposition is set and organised.

It'll be interesting to see how we play on Sunday.

They'd qualify unseeded (with a shitty points total) if Falkirk lose in 90 minutes. The only thing they have in their favour is 7 points already in the bag coupled with a goal difference that as it stands beats any other side (bar Bonnyrigg see below but which won't happen) that reaches 7 points.  But assuming Falkirk take a point at least they'd need....

Raith to take 1 point max against us.

Stirling not to win in 90 minutes

Dunfermline to take 1 point max

Bonnyrigg not to win by 10 goals

Airdrie to lose in 90 minutes

FC Edinburgh to only take 1 or 2 points

QOS to only take 1 or 2 points

St J only to take 1 or 2 points

Livingston to only take 1 point max

They can't stop one each  of Killie/Stenhousemuir and Hamilton/Queen's Park overhauling them so it is the last qualifying spot they'd be hoping for

Same team on Sunday I'd expect. Jim said he wanted Stewart and Scales to get minutes together, the same for Rama and McCrorie.

If winning he'll prob move McCrorie to LCH as it looks like he'll be there for Celtic.

Not sure about LB. Against Stirling he moved Scales there. Suggests to me that he's planning on giving Hancock 90 mins against them or he's comfortable enough that someone can cover there (prob Hayes)
