One cannot help but notice the  apparently simple concept grasped by the author here that the football club is a legally recognised business that signs contracts and (hopefully) stands good on its commitments.  There's no mention of engine room subsidiaries or holding companies operating an ethereal club or Club.  Its just a club.

I remember when responsible journalists reported matters north of the border like this.

Coventry were liquidated in 2013. Somehow the club managed to continue...the old club being separate from the holding company shite surfacing once more. The cunts have been playing at various times since in Northampton and Birmingham as well as in a stadium in Coventry that they didn't own.

Maybe I'm just a grumpy old cunt but for me, owning your own stadium should be an unswervable condition of being involved in all levels of football above "non-league" status.

Fuck Covco

A Football League statement read: The League has transferred the club's share to the administrator's preferred bidder O"tium Entertainment Group.

"This comes after an application under the 'exceptional circumstances' provision of the League's Insolvency Policy and on the acceptance of a 10-point deduction for the upcoming League One season despite the failure of its CVA."

The last worthwhile journalist we had in Scotland was Alex Thompson 10 years ago.

Around the time a new club was being illegally ushered into the Scottish League setup.

“For years too much football ‘journalism’ in Glasgow had been too lazy, sycophantic and incapable of asking awkward questions.”

This remains worth reading
