Shafted by Goodwin the other night.

Plays him in a midfield 3 when he's a forward and then has a thinly veiled critique at his performance.

Does Goodwin have a good record of improving players? I know he spotted McCarthy, McGrath. Ronan etc and got praised for that.

But, in terms of development? Doesn't strike me as the type that'll nurture a talent or have much patience with a younger academy graduate.

It just makes the appointment, in hindsight, all the more baffling. A DoF with no prior playing side experience, and a young manager with little to no background of developing young players.

Was happy to give him the benefit of the doubt but I can't believe we weren't casting our net across Europe to people familiar working in particular structures and strategies.

He was absolutely dreadful at Kilmarnock but has shown great promise before that. As someone mentioned above no chance he’s signing a new deal whilst getting so little game time.

Played out of position in a struggling team. Hardly an ideal foundation for a youngster to flourish.

Good question. A winger?

It certainly isn’t right wing back or centre mid which is where Robson has played him in almost all his appearances under him

I thought he did fairly well in a central midfield position when Shinnie was suspended at the back end of last season. Whole team was doing well at that point though.

He was certainly garbage today, but he wasn't the only one.

Nobody on that bench was really going to change the game - probably the most likely would've been Jonny Hayes, which is mad given that he's 36. Big Guaye looks like a unit with a terrible touch. Sokler looks like Miovski but not as good. Barron can look good because he wants to get on the ball and at least tries to keep it, but he's not exactly a game changer. This is why I'd like to see Vinny on the bench - he has supplied goals and assists in the past, unlike most of the rest of them.

I reckon that Robson is impressed by folk that can run all day at training, regardless of whether they are good footballers or not.

Barmy approach to football management.

Of course he is, he says it every time he’s interviewed.

First thing he’s said about nearly all of the new signings is “he can run”. Never mentions their actual footballing ability.

He’s a fucking halfwit
