redcryptoknight
Everyone knows our form took a massive knock after the world cup, but it might be more to the point to say our form took a massive knock after the Atlanta trip. We took the team on what seemed like a fairly pointless 8,000 mile round journey to play Atlanta's second string players. What was the benefit to Aberdeen? What was the point of it all? It isn't obvious to me. I think by now we all assume that something happened with Vinny while they were away. Did that unspecified event, or even another event unsettle the rest of the squad too? A part of me suspects our season may have unraveled for the sake of a Cormack vanity trip. On the other hand, you can't blame the Atlanta trip for Goodwin's tactics against Celtic. Link to comment

fine-n-dandy
I don’t think the trip to Atlanta was the issue. The main issue was bringing the majority of the team back Link to comment

What was the point of the trip? What’s the point in going to dubai or tenerife. It’s usually a nice perk for the squad to get away in a mid season break. let’s be honest we weren’t exactly flying at ANY stage for the last 2 years. We just managed to get even worse after the trip. big fnd has nailed it below On 2/3/2023 at 7:21 PM, fine-n-dandy said: I don’t think the trip to Atlanta was the issue. RUL
It was a pointless trip but I think we just lost confidence after celtic and rangers games. Then Stewart fucked up v st mirren and fans turned against the team and whole thing was fucked. Link to comment
The Gee Man
Normally they come back from a trip and there is a decent amount of PR, can’t remember any that’s how embarrassing it was. Link to comment

Aka Alex Miller effect. Link to comment

starryfish
I’d say the Celtic match at home had more of an impact than the trip to Atlanta Link to comment

Goodwin effectively told them you're not good enough to win this game so we're not going to try. Cunt. Also, bin this Atlanta connection. Pure nonsense @Cormack Link to comment
