Tommy
Hard to believe that it will be 10 years since Willie Miller organised that great 30th anniversary dinner. 1 1 Link to comment

Schapenneuker
Is it necessary ? Probably not. It's a brilliant chance though for Swiss Tony to parade his 'I was there' credentials, which I suspect this is what it was all about in the first place. 5 Link to comment

Earns us more money and boosts fan morale and fan involvement, no brainer really. Link to comment

True, but it's peak Cormack to announce it at a time when we're managerless, not out of relegation danger, and still stinging from 2 of the worst results in the club's history. Smacks of a dead cat being thrown on the table. 6 Link to comment

RUL
Weird watching rob wicks imply it’ll be last time we can celebrate this as players will be dead by 50th anniversary. 2 Link to comment
Ten Caat
Its a fair enough point I guess. The 50th anniversary would seem like the more natural point to celebrate it but by then even Black would be only a few months short of his 70th birthday and most would be in their mid to late 70s. The one at the P&J live? Aye, they are selling tickets anyway, tables for ten diners etc. No mention of Fergie attending but surely, he’ll be invited 1 Link to comment
sooth_stander
You’d hope McGhee and Strachan put personal issues with AFC to one side and turn up for this. Both came to the Neale Cooper memorial event in the RDS a few years back, in fact the only Gothenburg Greats who didn’t were Rougvie and Leighton. And then Strachan was at the Fergie statue unveiling this time last year. Link to comment

graham
Jim Leighton is just a very quiet man and like most goalkeepers probably a natural loner. He took his goalkeeper coach role at Aberdeen very seriously, diligently and enthusiastically, would sit in the stand at Balmoor reserve games, the same end as his goalkeeping protégés and watched the matches avidly, and these young goalkeepers would have learned a lot from him.Sweden 1-0 at Ibrox finest hour..Great goalkeeper. 1 Link to comment
