What’s the song?

Was surprised to hear a song sung by our fans on Friday night. It’s one I’ve heard most predominantly by Sevco so was really surprised to hear it. No idea what the words are but it goes “Awayawayaway” then the rest is indecipherable. What are the words anyone?

It isn't a rangers song. It's an Aberdeen song. The clue is that it contains words such as Aberdeen and Pittodrie rather than rangers and ibrox. 

Why the hell would our fans be singing a rangers song you gype.

No need for the insult . If you read the post it clearly states the words are indecipherable which means not clear to hear or understand. I’ve not heard it sung by our fans before.

@Roberto is probably the lad ITK here , but I’m pretty sure the Scousers were the first British support to adopt that song , maybe when Gerard Houllier was their manager.  I think the words are the French “Allez Allez Allez” and the tune would’ve been sung by French teams before them.

Aye, surely it's only a rangers song if it's a version with rangers words in it?

The tune itself is universal. I've heard it at games all over Europe long before anyone in the UK put their own teams words to it.

Singer Jamie Webster made the Liverpool one famous along with the other 'Boss Night' gadgies but it's defo been sung all over Europe long before Liverpool put a spin on it.

However (and I may stand corrected) Liverpool were one of the first UK clubs if not the first to start with it.

Scotland even have their own version.

As I only have only heard it sung by Sevco fans previously I obviously have a dislike for the tune 😉

It’s been getting sung for a while now this season to be honest.
