Post-Split Fixtures?

safe to say the 'old firm' game wont be first or fifth but who cares beyond that?

I'll predict Celtic are away from home on the telly on the Sunday of the first weekend to steam roll someone to win the title. Will it be Pittodrie?

That was the fixture I initially thought we'd get but others on here are saying that we've been promised a home tie on the second weekend of post-split fixtures as it coincides with the 40th anniversary of Gothenburg.  Seeing as we are only due 2 home fixtures and again supposedly each team has been promised their final 2 fixtures will either be Home/Away or Away/Home, I confidently predict our first match will not be against Celtic

Making us play the last 3 away from home would be a bit extreme so that makes sense

No, I wouldn’t think so.

We have 2 home games left.
First one game week 2 v Hibs apparently.

That leaves Celtic at home.
Wont be game 5 as Celtic will be home to get league presentation.
Unlikely to be game 1 as that leaves 3 away to finish.
Unlikely to be game 3 as that’s reckoned to be Bigotfest.

So logic says game 4?

1- St Mirren or Hearts away.
2- Hibs home.
3- Hearts or St Mirren away (as think Glasgow derby this day.
4- Celtic home.
5- Huns away

Fuck knows though. The authorities in this country are known for making a cunt of it.

I would take a guess.

Pretty sure we won't have both Celtic and the huns away. It 'should' be organised so that each of the 4 other teams plays 1 of them at home and 1 away.

Can't be bothered going any further back to check but certainly last year the 4 'other' top 6 teams (Hearts, Dundee United, Motherwell and Ross County) all had 1 home and 1 away game against the Glasgow bigots after the split.

If you are remotely right with your predictions we'll be home and hosed in 3rd before we play Tims.

Would be great to have a carefree go at them for a change.

are celtic away games gonna be pittodrie, tynecastle and ibrox?

This is the big question. They are due to face 4 sides away from home.....the 3 above plus Hibs.

But that would leave them having played 18 homes and 20 aways. To even it up to 19 of each, one of those sides is going to end up going to Parkhead 3 times in the season. It won't be sevco for obvious reasons. And I think because of ourselves and Hearts being in a close(ish) race for 3rd, the league will avoid making it either of us as well. So by process of elimination, I reckon poor old Hibs will be the team to lose out.

It’s mental the league doesn’t already have a plan in place for as soon as season ends. Everyone left wondering who’s playing and when. Bizarre.

They do to a degree but it's all based on where teams finished in the previous season. Ourselves, St Mirren and Hibs all finished in the bottom half of the league in 21/22 and so this season's fixtures were based on that.....it's quite an unusual situation where 3 teams that were "seeded" (or expected) to finish bottom half ended up top half, thus the chaotic situation with Celtic that has occurred. I'd imagine there will be a reciprocal situation occurring as well in the teams contesting the lower half of the play-offs but can't be arsed checking who it will be affecting

Just shows you what a complete shitshow the Scottish fitba authorities have made of things.

It’s bad enough games being moved around for TV purposes but Clubs, and fans of those clubs, shouldn’t be waiting around for the final 5 fixtures to be announced, and no club should ever have an uneven amount of home and away games, like we’ve had on a few occasions.

I can’t think of any other country in the world that has this scenario

Totally agree , and not just with the Fuck Hibs bit.

After last week’s games they knew four of the top 6 teams and that the other two would come from Hibs , St Mirren and Livi. So they’ve had a whole week to compile post-split fixtures for each different outcome. And get them published asap once the top 6 is known.
