Was meant to have signed for Palace seemingly, must've pulled out the deal to sign him would be my guess

He needs a good few mince pies over the next year or so  (like McKenna did) beanpole doesn’t come close to describing him. I like him, very composed and makes good use for the ball, although I didn’t think @RUL shares my optimism.

A season at the likes of Cove will do him good

Yeah a few on here were saying Palace was a done deal… what happened?

He will not be anywhere near first team imo. Out on loan somewhere. He’s absolutely huge so may develop well in lower leagues. We’ve better defenders in the youth system potentially I think. Our u18 defence has cost us this league this season. Admittedly the dodgy goalkeeper a big factor. I’d say Blair will end up at league 2 or lower in a few years unless he’s a really late developer in terms of defending. 
 

Re palace, made up rumour imo by his agent, trying to get a better deal.

 

Blair was late addition to afc. Came from an Edinburgh boys club. So no compensation was really due either.

Hancock will be the main back up I suspect.

I wondered the same.

At the moment I'd just be grateful for 3 proper centre halves!
