One Grandad was in the RAF and took part in the Berlin Airlift. Never really found out too much about it.

He was a Shetlander and recalled explosions from mines washing up on the shore during the war.

Other Grandad was a conscientious objector, very much Brethren so wasn’t too much of a surprise. Oddly though, I inherited a Soviet uniform badge from him. No idea how he came to own it.
