Bournemouth Gee
My neck is ruined ( whiplash many years ago). I do the exercises, attend chiro and have a 'neck support' pillow. But I'm in a lot of pain most of the time. Anyone have any experience with cortisone or similar? I've heard mixed reports so far. Link to comment

johnstrac
Had cortisone in my knee after an Op and in my shoulder for tendonitis, other than the needle itself neither jab was as bad as I'd been led to believe. Link to comment

The physio I was using at the time for it hadn't considered it - it was my GP who mentioned it as an option. Did the trick for me. Also helped an issue I'd had with my back Link to comment

jamiesd
Try acupuncture and also look into acupressure. I did this after hearing wee Gordon Strachan used it throughout his career and it really works. 1 Link to comment
JumboJET
Painkillers - LOL. A real man deals with the pain quietly and stoically, and then develops mental health issues because of this years down the line. Link to comment
BrianFaePerth
My 93 year old father in law gets all his dental work done without anaesthetic as that’s what real men do apparently. Well he doesn’t quite put it that way, something about gays is mentioned. Link to comment

I’ve had cortisone for carpel tunnel and it defintely works. Only 6 months or so at a time though. You’re treating the symptoms and not the cause. Whichever side your neck is in pain or misaligned, get somebody to smack you in the face so that your heed snaps in the opposite direction. That should do it. Link to comment

chief_wiggum
Colour your helmet in with a biro. Green red blue or black or mix it up if you want to have the Mexi dazee effect. Not a guaranteed cure but must be worth a try? 2 Link to comment

It's the base of the neck/ top of the spine. Basically crumbled away so not much movement there. So if I do get into a scrap it has to be with a dwarf, or a girl Link to comment
