R.I.P Lady Cathy

Recommended Posts

She was a lovely, down to Earth person. She loved Aberdeen, people used to say hello to her in supermarkets back in the 1980s. She was very reluctant to leave Aberdeen for Manchester, not knowing what that would bring and it was four tough years for Alex before success. She was his rock in the tumultuous years of late-80s English football and it all got crazier in the Premiership era, Champions League era. There were scandals, bust-ups and glories, but Alex always had a great family life and at the centre of that was Cathy.

RIP to Cathy

She loved Aberdeen and didn’t want to leave

Loathed to seem to appear to point score over this because that’s not what’s it’s intended to be but it’s a brass neck of Sevco posting condolences after the way the previous incarceration treated her

Yeah, recall that they both said that in the fairly recent documentary about his life.

57 years together is incredible stuff for anyone these days, but especially for the rich and famous - almost unheard of, and a credit to both of them.
