Aberdeen XI v Turriff

Recommended Posts

A good win by a combined U18s and young players out on loan.Big Aaron Reid not getting much game time at Peterhead scored for Aberdeen XI against his old team Turriff United.,Aaron Reid very tall striker usually played alone up front by a team likely to be defending deep most of the game.Unlokelly to be the case for Aberdeen tonight you would hope. Not there tonight , pleased a young  Aberdeen side pulled away to eventually win well.Shocked that Brendan Hamilton sent off.He gets stuck on but no history for bad tackles and poor temperamental.

Terry Taylor now at Charlton Athletic after playing for Aberdeen U20s  at 14 and then joining Wolves very young, then Burton Albiion and now at Charlton.Has also played for Wales U21s.Good player, unsure how he would have done had he stayed at Aberdeen ,some managers would have liked him, some maybe not.

Think he would have done well had he stayed: technically good with ball at feet. Wonder how high back up the English pyramid he makes it. Had options to go higher than league 1. Injuries a bit of an issue unfortunately.

Aye Spider a good manager as well.

In Aberdeen it appears Lee Youngson gets all the plaudits of being a good young manager (Culter) however the job Spider has done at Buckie over the years is incredible and it always seems to go unnoticed.

Buckie have been consistently up at the top of the highland league for quite a number of years now and quite a bit before spider as well. Greg Carrol won the league twice with Buckie if i mind right. They still seem to have a bit of cash to attract players and have had hard luck in the last 2 seasons runners up to amazing points totals.

Spider is a crackin boy

Graeme Stewart aka Spider, a very good manager at Buckie Thistle.Recollection of him being approachable and helpful as a Peterhead player.Onw of those folk that loves his football without feeling the need to fall out with folk over football. He will have Buckie well set up for semi final tie.I would not worry about Aberdeen first team duds being available, same as tonight,U18s and young loanees like Alfie Bavidge,Liam Harvey will make up a competitive side to take on Buckie on Wednesday 8th November.Thank you for date Reed or deed
