Yep was sat beside my brothers in law

One a celtic fan one a "rangers" fan

Said exactly the same to both of them  - this sitting back rarely ever works and sure enough, they equalise and actually should have won, with the lammers sitter

Fair enough defending if your defence is good - ours isn't and the worst part of their team is their defence too, so put that under bloody pressure!

The movement of rangers forwards and Celtics forwards the other week really exposed us. They got in behind plenty of times.

I don't even blame the 3 CBs because they are being asked to more or less be solely responsible for maintain our lead. There was no structure after 20 mins yesterday, we just hoped we'd nick it off then and break.

The amount of times Goldson or Lundstram were allowed to gallop unopposed to the edge of our box was wild.

We played two strikers but because they weren't being backed up in the press, one pass through them took them out the game.

We've no chance of winning this cup on the Hampden pitch if don't find a way to get us going for 80-90 mins with a structured balance of surrendering possession, but having the ability to win it back in a meaningful area.

Yesterday reminded me of PAOK at home a great deal.

The corner kick stat is outrageous. How many do you normally get on average, per game? 5/6?

For us to have had zero in the last 3 and only 1 in the last 4 would make both Ian Porterfield and Alex Miller blush.

For Robson to give himself any hope of succeeding as a manager here or elsewhere, he really needs to come up with a plan B, of how he approaches the game. He has one of the best finishers in Scottish fitba in his midst and he is preventing both Miovski in particular, and the team in general, from flourishing, with his lack of wingers, and his long ball over the top reliance

Corners are overrated. Statistically the success rate from a corner is very low.

Yep

So surely the key is, use your subs

Keep pressing

If Shinnie tires,  bring on barron or polvara

If miovski tires, bring on Sokler

If mcgrath tires, bring on Duk

And so on

Yes our team on the park might weaken, technically, but if the starter is knackered they will be less use than the sub anyway

It keeps the momentum going

If you genuinely don't have a sub to play the role to bring on, then sort it In January

Surely that's bloody obvious

Sokler at 100% WILL be better than Miovski at 50%

It also limits chances of injury flogging the same guys

So bloody simple

I don’t think we had the subs yesterday to do that. Who’s at fault for that is another matter however.

Yeah that's on Robson then!

With the money we have spent we should have 5 guys on the bench who can replace tiring first teamers

Possibly.

If he actually wanted Gueye is up for debate however. We needed two strikers who could do the job of the other two, which is a disgrace in itself as no way should Sokler be fucked before half time.

In fairness to Sokler he has zero match fitness. And based on yesterdays first half im not sure why his minutes have been so limited.

Agree with that.

A lot of it I believe is down to formation. Our WBs aren't getting forward enough to take on the opposing fullback to at least win a corner.

When you’re shelling it direct & going long, as opposed to using width, then it stands to reason we’ll get next to no corners & attempts on goal.

Do we still have the lowest attempts on goal per game in the league?

Sooner or later, people will waken up to the shit that they are being fed. Once the media cotton on to the corners stats, the xG and all the rest of that modern shit, the pressure will build

We can only hope.  Some people are behaving like we are fucking Ross County or Partick Thistle.  Proper small time being happy with this shite

I’m not a football snob.
There’s times where being direct works.
We could’ve & should’ve had 2 goals from it yesterday.

But we undoubtedly do it as the default tactic & on Robson’s instruction & do it far too much.

Folk like Barron, McGrath & Clarkson almost negated

Most fans with half a football eye already see it.

Agree. Clarkson’s pass to Sokler was a thing of beauty and yet, yes, it was a long ball. Nout wrang wi ‘at. David Beckham made a career out of them.

As you say, it’s when it becomes the norm and not an occasional tactic, that’s when it’s a problem. As it always has been with Barry

It really is sad to see Aberdeen fans taking it as a positive that we only have a couples wins less than St Mirren after a 1/3 of the season.

Remind me what is special about the "Hampden pitch"?

It has the same dimensions (105m x 68m) as most other pitches in the Premiership.

Notable exceptions being Pittodrie (slightly narrower) and Tynecastle (both narrower and shorter).

Large grassy areas at the sides and ends don't make the playing surface any bigger.

Worth noting that we have played the fewest games in the league and 1/3 of those (4/12) have been against Rangers and Celtic.

So arguably we've had the toughest set of games of any club to date.

Robson getting it tight tonight from Huns on Superscoreboard. Pleasing that he’s wound them up so much.

Could be worse, they could be forced to watch his bowfin football every week.

Can't believe the stupid bam is still here. He's stinking the place out. Fucking brainless halfwit pub team manager cunt.

You don’t rate him, then? 😂😂

It’s like what I said the other day. If Robson was appointed partially because of potential, in regards to the FMB thinking he was a young manager, open to modern coaching techniques etc etc and so was worth the risk, but the downside was he’s not yet “fully qualified”, then you could accept ups and down in the short term as long as there were signs that longer term, clear playing patterns were emerging, as well as in game formation changes and reacting to the ebbs and flows of the game.

We are seeing none of the above.
