Van de Veen

Recommended Posts

It seems he is unsettled in Holland so I really hope we try to get him. A proven prolific goal scorer in the spl, target man and someone who I have always believed would be a huge asset to the side. We need goals now particularly given our precarious league position. Ok we will have to wait till January but I think he would be worth waiting for.

We have plenty of goalscoring threats, just apparently don't know how to use them

Like the new guy Gueye you mean? Looks a complete waste of money.

Gueye has been a bizarre signing. As a club, we cannot afford to have a £500,000 signing sitting on the bench.

The thing here though is who the fuck recommended him to AFC when evidently the lad has been struggling for any decent form over the last 2 years?

A swap deal with Groningen in January for van Veen, with Gueye going in the opposite direction, would be the best outcome for all concerned.

We aren’t a small team like Cowdenbeath or Hearts, we can spend as much as we like.

Aye, of that there is no doubt as you quite rightly say we aren't a small club (far bloody from it), but obviously AFC aren't getting any return whatsoever thus far for investing £500,000 to sign the lad.

Thought he was good at M/well. Easy have him at Pittodrie

Be amazed if we hold on to Miovski much longer.

Get rid of the guys that never get a sniff.

Weird how Sokler doesnt get more time even against shite.

Sokler and Gueye are quite clearly here for 6 to 12 months to settle in before duk and miovski leave

It's a good strategy

Sokler has some nice touches and works hard. Needs a goal and he will be fine, even with the short minutes he gets.

Absolutely. You don't invest the sort of money we have (significant for a club of our size) unless the players have a future.

I'm a little surprised they've not played more of a role up till now, but there's definitely a succession plan in place.
