Noticed a lot of comments about Hampden track records. Took a wee bit of time (10 mins) on the AFC Heritage site to check out my own. 35 visits. 15 wins, 3 draws, 17 losses. Good win ratio up to 1990 then nae so good. One thing that stood out. Semi finals in Dundee or Edinburgh were better. Anybody else bothered enough to check out their own.

That’s brutal reading and feel sorry for the younger fan that didn’t see the eighties, criminal record from the 90s onwards, surprised there is as many dons fans still, especially ones that pay there hard earned money on euro trips etc, il spend the guts of 2k every season, more if it’s Europe, just to watch this shitefest and blatantly biased league, meh.

Luckily I’ve had a good enough time doing stuff with my pals over the years and got to take my old man down yesterday after he’s struggled for a few years. 

The shite football is usually just a blip in a good day out. Would be fine to get something to shout about now and again however.

Until yesterday my record was similar other than wins against Dundee in 95 and Hibs in 2000 and losses to the huns and Celtic in 2000. Also missed a few of the semis (Hibs 2012, Morton and last years semi against the huns).

95 against Dundee was the highlight as only final i went to with my Dad who remembers nothing at all about it these days.

Seen us lose to QOS, Hibs, Dundee Utd, Celtic and now Huns.

Seen wins v Hibs twice and Morton.

It is brutal. My first game was in 1991. My dad must have been thinking hoho what a treat for this young man taking him to see a team who have won 2 European trophies, 3 league titles, 5 Scottish cups and 2 league cups in the last 11 years. 
 

what has followed is 2 league cups in 32 years. We have only as much made the Scottish cup final 3 times in that spell. I don’t even remember the 93 final really.

I've absolutely no idea how many games that is....probably around 40. I've also no idea on the success record.....I suspect around 50%.

Observations - first half: good, second half: not so good. We used to give it a right go against the Huns when they were at their 80s peak though, in all 3 of the finals from '87 to '89. Sunday's performance was dismal, especially remembering how things used to be.

saw the dons win in my first 5 trips to Hampden. All finals in those days.

80s: attended 8, won 6 lost 2 (including the 1990 final ‘there’s only one anton rogan’

went seriously downhill after that. Missed a semi against hearts in the 90’s, a semi against Dundee united in the 90’s and fortunately the QOTS semi. Been to the rest  of semis and finals at Hampden, which reads as depressingly as those above! 
 

shouldn’t play semis at Hampden. Get back to playing Dundee united at tynecastle or dens and the invariable 2 replays. Mannies semis
