I've used IPTV in the past and it worked well. The downside is that you're handing over your payment details to god knows who..

RedTV puts money into the club and much less chance of some Eastern European criminal gang emptying your bank account or credit card.

Cash only, with my "supplier".

Mines a Bank transfer. No risk.

It'll never change on sky for as long as Scottish football is viewed by them as filler.

Topping up the pensions of ex Hun and Celtic players with the most spurious of connections to the other team being shown is probably the worst thing.  Surely there are more deserving ex players who need the money more and would be more articulate.

They are happy with the product they deliver though as they  know anyone subscribing purely for Scottish football will most likely be a Hun or Celtic fan wanting the equivalent of an away game season ticket.

Even some of their fans know how poor it is, but I guess it's easier for them to put up with as their team is on it every 2nd week.

I haven't had a sports package since BT did a freebie a few years ago. Fuck giving the cunts more money, because the more they get, the further behind we fall.

RedTV doesn't get you just about any fitba match / sports event / movie / tv show you want though. £40 a year my IPTV costs. RedTV is a fuckin shambles anyway.

Sky have never invested in Scottish football, they pay the minimum they can because it’s just a bit of filler for the EPL coverage.

They massively overspend on English football and have done since the premiership was created- they knew if they threw enough money at clubs they’d bring top talent to the league and it would get better and better.

They don’t even really need Scottish football coverage because so many people in Scotland pay to watch English football anyway.

Absolutely.

I find it incredible anyone pays Sky anything.
Sky have basically paid the SPFL a relative pittance in order to show a series of bigotfests over the next few years, and their coverage & choice of pundits outlines that.

It might be seen as value for their fans?

But IMO, for any fan to pay for Sky Sports in this day & age, where there’s easy access to IPTV, is very odd.

My full package is £35pm, courtesy of a good friend who works for SKY

Our family enjoy the movies and younger tv, without interruption - That's the key, and primarily why we have it

We have excellent internet speed here, BUT it doesn't guarantee the reception - Which is why I am 'happy' to PPV, and watch SKY (when we're on) - Buffering / cutting out completely is no good to me when watching AFC or National team

I have to factor in the logistics, a ST, and DNA, too, when following the Dons (As will others)

IPTV is not the 'one size fits all' some would want to believe - Albeit, I appreciate (Admire, even) their reasoning for having / persevering with it

I wouldn’t give sky a drink of water if they were dying of thirst.

Binned Sky TV in 2013. Was streaming football before then but decided to jump as could most of what they provided elsewhere.

Wouldn't give them a penny nowadays.

Forgot my deal was coming up and Sky Conveniently don't notify folk that their TV offers are away to drop off. Ergo my TV package with sport goes from £34 to £68 in one bill. £94 in total with broadband and phone. In which planet is £68 for Basic Sky and Sport a reasonable price? As @NorfolkDandy said, the reliability for the family is important. However after years of getting offered deal after deal to stay, I'm done with it.

Genuinely thought it was an error before I called them, at which point I cancelled. Firestick on the way today, ironically I'll be using my Sky Broadband to stream my IPTV.

I was asked if the reasons for leaving were purely down to price. I said it was a number of factors including:

- The obsession of the English Premier League at the detriment of everything else and then increasing prices to pay for said league

- Lost most of the FA Cup games to another pay tv channel prior to going to terrestrial. Lost the Scottish Cup. Have never bothered bidding for the League Cup.

- Losing the Champions League to BT/TNT Sports. Arrogance.

- Scottish Premiership coverage is rank rotten. Never show the maximum number of games and it is a Hun and Celtic away season ticket. Little to no ancillary programming or serious coverage of the league.

- Lost all of the WWE Wrestling to BT/TNT Sports - apparently kids watch this?

- Losing a good chunk of the Scottish National Team coverage to another pay tv channel.

It did used to be good value if the stuff they've lost was still there. The coverage is so fragmented across several platforms now, it is simply not worth it.

I have a basic Sky package that includes Netflix and Broadband.

Don’t, and never have paid for the sports package. It’s far too much of an EPL wank fest, and as has been mentioned, the coverage of Scottish fitba is only aimed at two teams.

Have a Firestick for anything else I need.

My pal got iptv using his sky broadband but his sky broadband blocked it. I think he had to turn off something on his WiFi settings.
