Denim: Super-skinny spray-ons or big billowy bootcuts?

Recommended Posts

Hi all and a happy Dons-free Saturday to you.

Hypothetical situation: Your government has just dictated that all citizens HAVE to wear jeans 👖 whilst out in public, but they have restricted the choice to being either skin tight spray-on skinnies, or huge billowing bootcuts.

What jeans would you choose to wear in public? And why?

I would choose the skinny jeans, as they look cool and match my matchstick legs.

The cost of custom made skinnies to fit my enormous muscly legs would dictate that I opt for the billowy booties. I’d wear them with shame because I don’t shit in a bucket.

Surely certain exemptions could apply here? I have a noticeably withered left leg. Sciatica and a snapped Achilles mean I can't build muscle at all. But my right leg is very bulky by comparison.

This policy visibly excludes people like me

Good

Fermers favourite. Wear them on the farm, barn dance, night clubs, mart, weddings. Ultimate utility gear.

Just exactly. I’ve twa pairs, one for the graft, other for socials. Power hosed my work ones yesterday when I slipped into local for a few pints on way home from work.

Anyone pulling off the double denim look these days? Davey D man is the king of it in Aberdeen

the old Springsteen look

A few on here will remember denim Bob from Glenrothes. Went to all the Aberdeen games. Rain or sunshine - he rocked the double denim.

Yup, a leg end

If the choice was to be made then boot cut but cut them off at the knees for shorts and rock those about town

The quine that used to come up to Pittodrie on matchdays whilst working for Setanta had a cracking pair of tight jeans to compliment her lovely body.

Used to get a right good view of her and her jeans when I was a season ticket holder, 3 rows up fae the bottom of the RDS.
