bamboozle the attendant, lots of hand waving

sleight of hand in this situation can rack up the dividends

you want to create a relationship with the attendant in advance

I've heard of people sticking other barcodes on top of things prior to going to the checkout.

Cucumbers are now "high risk items" that need staff approval at my local supermarket, apparently people switch the barcode sticker from "standard" cucumbers on to "large" cucumbers to save 10p

I always peel my bananas before weighing them and throw the peels on the ground. Get so much more for your money that way and get good practice for Mario Kart at the same time.

most of the premium organic fruit and veg is prewrapped with barcode

just rip 'em out, bag 'em up, and get them weighed on the cheap on the self serve scale

I had turned my back on stealing by my mid forties. Just didn't seem to be the right thing to do anymore. Only thing I take without paying these days are the bags from supermarkets. That's a point of principle.

My mates dad kept a 0.05p M&S sticker on the back of his bus pass and would get lunch every day for that sum. Did it for years

Eh resent how some shops like K-Mart want to see your receipt after you’ve done their work for them. Trust me to do it or do it yourself ffs
