The Proclaimer
Holy f*ck UEFA Navarro handed lengthy brawl ban Burdisso feels the force of Navarro's punch Valencia's David Navarro has received a seven-month European ban for his role in the on-pitch brawl in the Champions League game against Inter Milan. Navarro broke the nose of Inter's Nicolas Burdisso, who was banned for six games along with team-mate Maicon. Valencia's Carlos Marchena was banned for four games, while Inter's Ivan Cordoba and Julio Cruz received three and two-match bans. Both clubs have also been fined about Link to comment

snoyl
It didn't really surprise me that no BIG named player got any kind of ban. You could argue that Cruz is a good player but in my book he isn't. When i was watching it Ibrahemavic (spl?) was also involved, maybe not a big part but he should have faced some punishment also Cambeasso (again spl?) was trying to fight himself into the dressing room and doesn't recive any kind of ban. No surprises that Uefa give out big bans to players that lucky if they get a game anyway! I know for a fact the players names aren't spelt right but cant be assed checking up hoow to spell them. sheep_shagger
Not overly surprised that Navarro copped a lengthy ban as he was an unused sub and only went onto the park to punch the guy then legged it again. I would be in favour of increasing it to cover league and internationals as well. Link to comment
