General Election 24

Time for its own thread

Who to vote for:

Cons - don't be daft

Labour - hmm, not really sure, apart from being the most likely to get some sort of change of Govt, but that would be the only reason for voting for them

SNP - hmm, no sure what that would achieve

Lib Dems - would be like voting for an independent or a protest vote

Alba - would only vote for them to takeaway from SNP and thats not going to help in a GE

Yup, no much choice

I see subcontinental Mr. Potato Head (trademark MAD) is in N Ireland today - cant see why, they have no Conservative MP's and very unlikely to have after the GE

That they are called Labour and not Conservatives, they are red as opposed to blue, no sure what else though.

Think they would scrap the Rwanda plan though so on that alone its worth voting for them.

Other than that????

If it’s only for independence vote Alba! This current SNP government needs a reminder they are here to make our lives better not for them to lord over us how much we earn, drink or how we say he/she.

Tactically not wanting a Unionst representative is about the only reason they'll get my vote.

Alba. Hopefully one day.

Fair enough in a Scottish Parliament election but not so much for a Westminster one.  We need to clear out the Tories in Aberdeenshire, Moray etc. Labour not an option for that up here so we need all our eggs in the SNP basket to get rid of them. Duguid in hospital with an illness in his spine.  Not sure doctors were more amazed that he actually had one.

Definitely need to clear out Tories but SNP need a reminder they have taken our independence vote for granted! It can’t be the only reason we vote for them and forget their poor record of the last ten years. We have to move past that and demand better

Or arguably push towards it and make it priority.

People still voting SNP, hahahahahaha, you just couldn't make it up, no matter how inept the sheep still vote.

Country as a whole is heading in the right direction, inflation under control and action being finally taken on the illegals. It's a vote for Conservative for me. Only party that won't fuck up the Scottish North East community as well. So many here willing to kill Aberdeen by voting for anyone else, I value my job more than some cunt telling me drilling for oil is making the planet warmer.

This attitude is half the problem. , "it's all crap, why change?". If it's crap you've GOT to change.

Country does this now and then, 20 years of Conservatives, lets vote Labour. 5 years later, what a fucking mess, vote Conservative. It's just a cycle, will be the same this time.

I don't see what a lot of people are seeing, I think we've got it alright in the UK, not much to complain about. Apart from those cunts in dinghies.

Guest Matt Armstrong's Dog

Very true words spoken by Theresa May, simply reiterating and echoing my thoughts of the last 4+ years..

"Democracy has raised living standards in countries, it has led to the betterment of people in so many parts of the world, but sadly democracy today, I fear, is under threat.

“And while it is easy to answer the question ‘what is the greatest threat to democracy’ by saying ‘well, an autocratic state like Russia or China’, actually we should never forget the dangers to democracy from within."

Regardless of her being a tory, she is spot on with her comments.

She has fairly went up in my estimations since she stepped aside as PM, nae feart to challenge her own party's MPs and her subsequent successors since she stopped being PM.
