Personally think it would bring more experience to reserve players rather than just playing against teams at a level the same as them, also think it would be better for youth players to be taken through more quicker.

Think wenger had a moan about this a few weeks/ months back and said it would be the way forward for the game but could lead to lots of injuries.

Doh, I voted yes by mistake.

Totally ridiculous idea, can they get promoted/relegated? Or are they just there for the sake of it?

Fair enough. Let them put a second team/reserve team into mainstream football, why not? But they must begin in the CONFERENCE, and they must have their own ground or pitch, as there's no way the Anfield pitch could cope with so many extra games.

Massive problems would arise, when Liverpool 2 climb the league and end up in the EPL. More than a slight conflict of interest!!! IMPOSSIBLE SITUATION.

They can f*ck right off why should existing clubs give up their place in the league just so Mourinho, Benitez et al. can justify buying two or three teams worth of players. If they are allowed to do this, f*ck the conference, make them start at the bottom of the football league pyramid, and make them conform to the same rules as everyone else i.e. players cannot be chopped and changed there has to be a named squad for the season, limited number of loan signings per season etc. At this point it would become apparent that the only reason for this at all, would be to make even more money for the clubs concerned.

In Spain the reserve teams can't get promoted. I think that's the case in Holland as well, although I can't remember for certain.
