Shetland Lamb
I've got the feeling that Scotland are getting a little cocky about this one and I think the Italians will seize on that. I can see it being another Sco v Holland scenario. Italy 4 Scotland 0 Link to comment

I.Tully
BBC reporting that Dailly's gonna be given the holding midfielder role tonight Aye, and Pressley comes back in as well. Probable team from BBC:Gordon, Alexander, Pressley, Weir, Naysmith, Dailly, Brown, Ferguson, Hartley, McCulloch, Miller. Link to comment
paulkaneatemyhamster
Did Lithuania not get a point in Italy recently ? If they can scrap a draw, i don't see why we can't, the key is not to expect us to get one, view it as a bonus. Link to comment

snoyl
1-1 kenny miller will finally get another goal. The boy is gash and should never get a start tonight. His work rate is good but he's a striker and in games like this you need you strikers to beable to put the ball in the net, something Kenny cant do. I'll give anyone 500/1 that he scores tonight!I think Scott Brown deserves a start. Gary Teale is pretty average in my eyes and at least Brown gives you that bit fight. 3-0 Italy Link to comment

Luca Toni dosent need pace as Weir and Pressley defend from the box he will simply hold them off using his strength ( see Anderson versus Boyd). Link to comment

For that reason I think McManus should play. I think we can scrape a draw and i would be ecstatic if we did. Link to comment

Ajja
Our position now suddenly looks a little tricky. Surrounded by France, Itlay and Ukraine who all have a game in hand over us. Its gonna be a very tight group going into Autumn. Link to comment

Its gonna be a very tight group going into Autumn. Indeed, it's going to be very, very difficult to qualify from this group. Italy are a class side however, and loosing to them like we have tonight is no real disgrace. Link to comment
JimmyJimmy
Aye, tough game and we were never under any illusion of how difficult it was going to be. Qualification is not over yet though. ****Barry Ferguson MOTM from McCall??? WTF? Hemmin Zinc, ony chance ye could make that signature a bitty smaller - its the size of my screen min! Link to comment
minijc
Thought we looked very good going forward but never created a big spark, all we needed was one big chance but their defending was great compared to ours. We conceeded 2 sh*t goals IMHO first one was the worst, WTF were they trying to do? Toni isna one of the best strikers in the world for no reason so why leave him with time and space? Second goals think it was Weir who drifted away from his man when he should have stayed close to him again. Could have had 2 pens although one was more than the other, if the boy never looked like he was diving in to a swimming pool we would have got that one and if Miller went down there was a slight chance of it being given.
