Guest LondonScottish
1-0 Engerland, Terry. Bastards. Its only a dull-as-f*ck friendly. Not exactly the end of the World. Link to comment
Sonoftherock
Unfortunately England have played superbly this evening. Kaka', Ronaldinho, Robinho et al, have hardly had a touch. Hopefully they'll be back to their usual against Estonia. Link to comment

Guest LondonScottish
???? Which was the last time you watched Brazil in a friendly where they actually looked like the gave a f*ck, went for it, and played flowing entertaining football? Link to comment
sheep_shagger
Brazil didnt look as if they gave a f*ck and spent the whole game trying not to get injured. Gerrard was brilliant for them but neither team created enough good chances and i'd say a draw was about right. They were defensively solid but had f*ck all going forward. Delighted they didnt win though Link to comment
robbo
brazil piss me off. they havent been on the ball since the 2002 world cup and even then, they were a bit pish in that. it is good though that as good as england were...they couldnt break down a side who didnt give a f*ck Link to comment

WTF the report I read at half time suggested that Brazil played all the football and England were off the pace and lacking any cutting edge, Smith was playing to deep and Owen was little boy lost..... Did this all change in the 2nd half or were the media lying at half time? Link to comment
Proud9
Anyone else find Wes Brown falling over moments after he came on hilarious? Link to comment

It changed for a while in the 2nd half. England started the half pretty well and started to put the Brazilian defence under some pressure. It went tits up for them as soon as Terry and Beckham went off though. The defending for the equalizer was laughable. Link to comment
robbo
Anyone else find Wes Brown falling over moments after he came on hilarious? think back to disneys sword in the stone. when merlin first shows the aeroplane to wart and it goes straight into a nose dive smashing on the ground below. my reaction to wes browns 1st touch in the game was identical to that of archimedies. edit: found the clip i meant for those who cant remember Link to comment

Madbad
Hopefully they'll now think "We should have beaten Brazil, therefore we're f*cking ace again, 1966-and-all-that, McClaren doeas actually know his erse from his elbow, Beckham is god, we'll hammer Estonia" and they'll be too cocky and arrogant and end up losing or drawing. Well, we can dream eh? Link to comment
Sonoftherock
In yesterdays english Sun they devoted a whole page to the debate whether Beckham deserved a knighthood or not! Todays edition was a beckham wankfest... all the english press gave him MOTM despite Gerrard clearly being the most influential player last night. The media are slowly building them up again..... Sharpie
Aye, England are poor and lack ideas. I will give them Beckham though, he is their only real creator and I thought he was the only midfielder creating anything for them during the World Cup. 'Sir David Beckham' though - don't make me laugh. Also, London Scottish, I agree Brazil cruised it last night and still looked the better team. I mistakenly left this up and my girlfriend thought she would respond for a laugh. I got off lightly I think! Link to comment
