Premier League Bungs Inquiry

Five clubs have been named as breaching transfer regulations by Lord Stevens; namely Chelsea, Middlesbrough, Newcastle, Bolton and Portsmouth. These clubs' dealings will now be investigated further by the football association, with Newcastle and Bolton thought to be seen as the most serious miscreants.

Stevens voiced concerns about the operations of some 15 agents and third parties involved in 17 transfers.

The report goes on to specifically list concerns around two managers, namely, Allardyce and Souness.

Looks like there could be a fair amount of fire with this smoke...................

It would be quite amusing if Allardyce (Snr) got nailed for this, after he acted all Billy Big Balls and refused to talk to the BBC after Panaroma.

It would indeed...

However, until they come out with some evidence to prove any wrong doing this enquiry will no doubt get the same response from Allardyce (Snr) that the Panorama deal did i.e. Allardyce will claim they have proved nothing...

Seems like they have just picked the easy targets that the Beeb already lined up for them (apart from Souness that is)?!?
