Sheff Utd lose appeal

Recommended Posts

Sheffield United's bid to regain their Premiership status appears to be over after their bid to see West Ham docked points was dismissed.

An arbitration panel upheld the Premier League's decision not to dock the Hammers points over the signings of Carlos Tevez and Javier Mascherano.

Sheffield United launched an appeal after they went down on the last day of the season and West Ham stayed up.

West Ham had earlier been fined

theyre appealing the appeal though.

they ARENT going to give up until the world of football screams "F U C K O F F! ! ! ! ! ! ! !"

im so sick of them trying in vain. They just werent good enough to stay up so are trying to use a minor technicality which has already been shown that the case they are arguing is null.....GIVE IT UP!!!!

They are going to the High Court now - http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/t...utd/6270920.stm

I think some Utd fans are getting tired of this now. It really just seems like sheer desperation now. They were one of the poorest sides in the league last season but at one point they were 10 points clear of the drop. Surely they can't place all the blame on their relegation on West Ham not producing all the appropriate documents when they signed the two Argies. Also all they had to do on the last day of the season was draw with a poor Wigan side at home. If you can't do that then you most likely deserve to go down!

For christ sake, i can't believe they're appealing the failed appeal. Give it a rest and f*ck off back to the Championship.

I was just wondering if Sheffield United are allowed to take the issue to a court like the High Court as surely the High Court is a civil court.

A story from a while back...

FIFA president Sepp Blatter has warned Rio Ferdinand and Manchester United they can expect "unprecedented repercussions" if they challenge the eight-month ban handed down by the FA in the civil courts.

And another more recent story...

Juventus lodged an appeal with the Italian Olympic Committee (CONI) on Wednesday after deciding against taking their case to the civil court.

Juve had planned to take their appeal to the civil court after being demoted to Serie B and docked 17 points for their part in the match-fixing scandal.

But Fifa had warned Italy could be thrown out of Euro 2008 qualifying if Juve continued their civil action.

I thought they'd have to take the dispute to the Court of Arbitration for Sport :itch-chin:
