Tonight Robbie Winters scored a first half hatrick for Bergen away to Carmarthen in the UEFA cup qualifying round.

Drawing them in the UEFA cup would suit me perfect as i work out of Bergen !

Bloody hell, bit of a thrashing Bergen dished out tonight!

Carmarthen's Uefa Cup ambitions all-but ended at the first hurdle as they crashed to a strong SK Brann side, who started with nine full internationals.

Two of those - strikers Robbie Winters and Thorstein Helstad - shared five goals in the first half, ex-Scotland front man Winters bagging a hat-trick.

Kristjan Sigurdsson, Jan Solli and Armann Bjornsson completed the rout in the second half at Richmond Park.

To cap Old Gold's misery, Neil Smothers was sent off for a second yellow card.

The humiliation could have been worse but for a fine display of goalkeeping in adversity from home stopper Neil Thomas.

Carmarthen now face a fruitless trip to Norway for the 2 August second leg.

The draw for the second round of the Cup will be made the following day.

Does one international cap really make you a proper full international, especially when it was a friendly?
