Guest Stoney
Barry Nic is the only one deserving of a call up on current form. Link to comment
K-9
Aye - agree with that. Thought McLeish might use this game as a chance to field some fringe players but thinking about it is right to use the game as a warm up for the big qualifiers coming up. Link to comment
Guest glasgowdon
Barry Nic is our only worthy player right now. Pleased for Robson, as much as I hate the ginger prick, he is a great player and deserves to be in there. Link to comment
BTR
So what's wrong with Ferguson this time? Nicholson can't be a million miles away from a call-up. Link to comment

Nicholson can't be a million miles away from a call-up.From SFA website: Dundee United midfielder Barry Robson earns his first call-up to the Scotland set-up, while several regular team players are rested for this match, including captain Barry Ferguson, David Weir, Paul Hartley, Lee McCulloch and Gary Naysmith. Paulo
So what's wrong with Ferguson this time? Nicholson can't be a million miles away from a call-up. No Weir, Ferguson, Naysmith, Hartley or lee Mcculloch Can only assume he has left them out to give others a chance to stake there claim for a place. Hopefully that could be the end of Weir. Ferguson is suspended for Lithuania, so that could be the reason why he is excluded. Link to comment

Not really midfielders though, and McFadden will surely start up front They'll be starting with 4 midfielders, at least, just think it's a bit crazy to only have 1 replacement midfielder on the bench. florin_raducioiu
What about Agbonlahor? Apparently Big Eck has asked him as well as James Morrison. At least give them a game and deny England having them if they're not good enough. But let's be honest, both of these lads are better options than Gary Teale and Paul Hartley at right midfield. Baggy89
Not saying any of ours deserve a call up at the minute but says it all when the third best team in Scotland, a team who (when everyone is fit) would probably contain 10 Scots doesn't have a single call up for an international friendly? Baggy89
Exactly. Crazy really!!!Question is though is it a reflection on Alex McLeish the SFA and jobs for the boys mentality or Is it a reflection on Aberdeen style of play, playing of players outwith their natural positions, and general negative tactics not showing off the talent we have to the best of their abilities. paulkaneatemyhamster
Well lets look at our team Langfield, had he not been sropped, might have made the team we have no left back as it isthere's a case for Hart being picked considering Neilson & Whittikar aren't in the squad either Zander for Scotland ???? hmmm Seve or Barry Nic in the middle would improve this squad as we don't have a singal holding midfielder in the squad Clark or Smith out wide ??? not ahead of Robson or Brown certainly up front Mackie or Miller ??? nah - no chance i am surprised Naismith isn't in the team though . I'd rather have Gary Teale than Paul Hartley at right-wing. Teale is at least on form at the moment - nice run and cross for Derby's equaliser on Saturday. Also, why the complaints about Maloney? Good wee player, no? I'd much rather have him playing wide-left than that choob Lee McCulloch. Besides with Maloney in your team, a free-kick anywhere closer than 30 yards out is like a penalty. I'd have been astounded had he not been picked in the squad. Link to comment
