Yep, Cuervo is always a winner. Just make sure you do it properly: Snort the salt, drink the tequila, then squeeze the lime into your eye. :itch-chin:

any tequila connoisseurs on here?

:dontknow:

Simplest bit of advice, only buy tequila that is 100% agave, and not a mixto. Mixto is a blend of no less than 51% agave, with the other 49% being made up of any sugar, commonly brown or molasses. 100% Agave is a pure blue Agave Tequila. No sugar can be added during production, and no other spirit can be blended in after distillation.

If you're just going to shoot it, I wouldn't bother spending loads of

Did forget to add though, from early 2005 the Mexican government allowed a new 'Extra Anejo' tequila, which must be aged for a minimum of 3 years. Obviously, the longer they rest the more flavours they take on from the wood to give you a smoother tequila.

In short, when you're buying your bottle look for '100% agave' and one of the following age statements (ignore Gold/Oro if you're taking my advice).

Gold/Oro - Flavouring and colouring is added to resemble aged tequila

Blanco - Un-aged but can rest for up to 60 days

Reposado - Must rest for 2 months to a year

Anejo - Must rest for 1 to 3 years

Extra Anejo - Must rest for over 3 years

Just noticing on thedrinkshop.com that they're selling Partida Reposado for
